There definitely should be a limit to what you can put down but also a proximity sensor if feasible.
- Placing equipment to close to another one should cause them to fail.

And you missed the entire part when the EVe to FW links that got fixed by FW are gonna pay dividends in PC also. PC is meant to be driven and run by player control and input. It's up to the alliances to push and control the direction that takes, not the devs. (Although they already stated that they will be using it to provide more stuff for EVE later on.) I agree that lag needs fixing, but that is a more difficult monster to tackle than you think and everytime a new "core" part of the game is added, it returns. They need to fix core first, then when taht dust settles they can "tweak" to get rid of the lag. Just the nature of the beast. PC isn't the "best gamemode out there" and neither is FW or pub matches. They all provide a different playstyle and a different goal. Just as in EVE you can be in 0.0 alliance warfare (PC in DUST), faction warfare (hey same name in both games), or pub matches (high sec NPC mission runner in EVE). People will claim that one mode is better than the rest and it may be true for them, but not everyone is the same. I agree that pub matches will continue to be "stomped on" by FW team players. Team play is supposed to beat solo play. I believe that instead of just having team-play for just FW, CCP needs to also include it for public matches to balance this out or the stomping will continue. Sometimes I wish some of you could really get a taste for the "behind the scenes" responsibility the CSM or CPM has to go through and the real life consequences it brings. A lot of you would become overwhelmed, not understand, and make even more mistakes.

PC was different, broken from what i hear but it's there and it's different. FW was there but pointless and not different. i guess they wanted to get this out the way and hopefully the majority of a future patch (1.8?) revolves around PC. Many Dust players will never see a PC battle. Because of this it's important that FW is fun. Because this is something everybody can participate in without having to be in a corp.

I agree that limiting the number of equipment able to be deployed in a match will definitely fix some of the lag... But that is just treating the symptom and not really fixing the problem in the code. They need to pinpoint what it is about the equipment spammage that causes the lag. Because if they don't, then they are doomed to have the issue return in later updates when they try to expand matches to include more things, or players, or whatever. Gotta fix the base, not slap a new coat of paint on it.
