Cat Merc wrote:So I just tested mouse and keyboard to see what's wrong... And guys, it's as good as it's ever going to be at 30 FPS. Playing PC games at 30 FPS is a nightmare with M/K, it feels just like Dust with M/K. The lower frame rate causes a delay in controls, and it's pretty damn noticeable with M/K.
I suspect when the game moves to PS4, M/K will suddenly be amazingly good.
Unless CCP can optimize the game to the point where it runs at 60FPS on the PS3, don't expect much more. I can agree to a point. The problem is that it has gotten worse with every 'improvement'. It was better in closed beta. At least my character didn't, at random start spinning in circles & looking at the sky. Imagine being in the middle of a intense CQC battle, & your controls starts pulling to the left. & it doesn't stop until I let go of the mouse & let it finish. add to that broken sensitivity settings that haven't been touched in at least 3 updates(maybe more). & it's clear that KB/M have been put on the back burner.
There is much more that can be done, but if they fix these issues & add custom bindings i'll be happy. |

But in game support is far more balanced than 3rd party options, no matter what anyone wants to believe. Because if I choose to plug in my Aimon again, I will not only be able to get more precise mouse aiming, but also take advantage of DS3 aim assist. At least CCP has a modicum of control over how the different input devices operate in game. When Dust added mouse support I put down my Aimon & never looked back. But since 1.4's 'improvements' mouse control has gotten worse. & if it's not addressed by early next year, I'll likely be getting a XIM & deal with it on my own. |

Cat Merc wrote:I can tell the current M/K is accurate, just has a fuckton of input lag. Swipe it left to right and see how long it takes for the game to react. I personally, would like to do more tests when I can login. But from my observations, I have noticed that perceived 'input lag' can vary greatly from match to match. Likely based on which battle server you are playing on. I often play with guys in Europe & Oceania, & have notice more instances of games with delayed reactions & sluggish controls when playing with them, than running solo. This is does not always happen however, which makes me think it's a server side issue or just an effect of increased latency in general. Either way general latency did not have such dramatic effects on controls prior to 1.4. |

There are still people that don't know that we all play on the same Server cluster as EVE players in London, England? There are no other server locations except the Tranquility server. (except test servers and the Chinese server Serenity) You are mistaken, as the actual matches occur on battle servers that are located throughout the world. You can even select which one you prefer to connect to. I can't believe their are still people who did not know this. |
