It shouldn't never exist in Dust514 if we want in the future some exchanges EVE/Dust and a global economy.
Take it as a privilege to have been able to make yourself your free dropsuits. 
Why the HMG seems so inaccurate ?

Be lucky you even own a few BPOs already (assuming you have them) before they got removed with the exception of the four specific ones mentioned by CCP Frame. Consider yourself in a good position to have great economic influence once the secondary market hits while the rest of the players cry at your feet.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

Read the announcement section on the part covering vehicle respecs.

well thats a pretty pointless hope. the game was better off with em. and i hope they come back.

I will admit to feeling a little left out as a Min fan and only having essentially 2 (Dren + Sever?) BPO's ever available to me while the Amarr had the complete 'Templar' Gear... but I concede that BPO's were never really a good idea for a game with no manufacture base and a risk - reward system of combat economy.

the only usefull BPOs to me now are the module BPOs i managed to get when they were available. i hardly ever use any of the dropsuit BPOs like the dragon fly scout and assault, and covenant assault. because i always using the minmatar scout. i wish they atleast had a minmatar scout BPO then i would have a dropsuit bpo that i would actually make use of.
abut i think BPOs were a great idea in this game there isnt anything that can be said here that would change my mind of that. it acutally made me feel like i was actually getting something for Aurum instead of it being a total waste of cash unless there is like a 70% of deal or something.

First @ Mobius...
CCP Frame confirmed that no more BPOs are being removed other than the four specific ones he mentioned (those owners are getting refunds anyways). Also, CCP can't remove all of them anyways without causing legal problems as well as expensive CASH refund efforts such as the 'Templar' BPOs and the 'Toxin' BPOs which were purchased directly with cash instead of AUR. There are also BPOs that aren't bought with AUR or CASH but earned with effort such as the recruiter award BPOs and the event rewards like the 'Skinweave' BPOs. How do you compensate someone for that if you can't calculate their estimated value?
Second @ ZEN...
According to CCP Logibro, they came to the conclusion that BPOs were a bad idea in the first place and they regret ever giving them out at all. Since we're keeping the ones we bought, minus the four mentioned by CCP Frame, it's likely that anyone who owns them will be in very powerful financial positions since now they are owners of the novelty items that give a powerful advantage to their owners.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

so many extremist view when it comes to bpo's... i dont see any reason to get rid of them. they arent OP because they are all standard. as long as they never give them out (unless its in a really hard event as a first place prize), it really shoudnt hurt our economy. as a matter of fact it may help the economy if bpo's are traded. perhaps the bpo's will be used to make bpc's that could be sold. that would open another section of the economy. EVE has bpo's and their economy works just fine. |

A simple concept would be to add "green BPO's"
They need ISK to transform them into actual dropsuits... so we could "generate" dropsuits to sell in the market.
But this idea has been kicking for a long time, and I'm not confident is going to be implemented...

im loving the feedback on this by everyone.
but also my character that owns mostt nearly all my blueprints is usually my poorest finantially because owning BPO makes me have to spend more isk on the more expensive upper tier equipment. while my other characters relying on milita gear and such are usually loaded wit isk.

The only real use for AUR is boosters. Anyone buying gear with it is just wasting money.
As another player pointed out CCP Logibro has stated that BPO's are bad for the game. The long/short of it is that BPOs remove the risk reward equation from the game. When you use BPO's you get a reward regardless of how well you do while risking nothing. This breaks the underlying mechanics of the game even before you being to think of the implications for the future player run market.
I also realize that there are many issues with removal of BPOs especially those perchased with cash as part of merc packs. Even so I feel like it would be in the best interest of the game for all BPO's to be removed for the reasons stated in the paragraph above.
