Two things.
ONE. Where does it say they are midgets?
TWO. They are suicidally DEPRESSIVE, not just suicidal. They've long since mastered DUST-style cloning, Amarr stole the tech from an offshoot of their race. They just lose the will to live, disconnect themselves from the cloning, and die. Would you really want your character to just randomly jump out of the MCC and not turn on their dampeners, then have the slot erased?

Since players can't play Jovians in Eve after ten years on the market, a proto minja knifer is the closest you'll likely get to playing a "suicidal midget" in this game.

The Jovian Disease is a primarily genetic disorder among the Jove that eventually results in psychological breakdowns and death. The disease has no known cure and is noncommunicable, yet it afflicts every Jove eventually. The Jove blame the disease on their extensive bioengineering, but they are unable to utilize their technology to reverse it.
I'd rather skip psychological breakdowns, even more when I'm bound to wake up in a new body time after time again :D

Hmm, I read the evelopedia article, seems strange that it says 'no more than 4 feet'. I think it's either a typo or has been recanted, since in other fiction since that old article the Jove have been described as average height and slender.
In any case, the Jove are all dead, so no OP you can not be a Jove |
