I currently hit 5.5m total sp and was wondering what people considered to be a "seasoned" dustie?

A "seasoned" DUST 514 vet has around 10-20m SP. At 5.5m SP, I'd consider you to be average.
Now SP doesn't mean everything, because if you know what your doing and have a good ADV fit, you can stomp just as well as a 20-30m SP vet touting a Duvolle AR with a Logistics ck.0
As far as I'm concerned, WP is the only thing that truly matters. As WP is the only sure-fire way of determining how you contributed to the effort on the battlefield.
K/D is so miniscule it's laughable.

noob 500,000 to 3,000,000
average 3,000,000 to 10,000,000
above average 10,000,000 to 15,000,000
vet 15,000,000+
or better yet, you're a vet if you played in open beta by now i guess...some would argue this, but i think this is about right. i'm personally at about 20 million.
Tell me, how exactly DOES a biscuit gain Valor?

I'd say you are a vet when you are on at least two of the top 1000 standings. This way no 1 method of gaming the system gives you a false sense. So top 1000 in terms of total kills AND K/D, or WP and Kills.
I guess their could still be the anomaly of the sniper who only plays 10 games, get 5 kills per game, never dies, and his team wins everyone putting him on both the K/D board and the win/loss board. But for the most part this is the best litmus I can think of. |

I'm a vet I have 22 mill sp been playing since the mercenary pack in the closed beta. I am ranked 280 on the leaderboard and 250 - 260 something for warpoints. I score first almost every time I play.
For Caldari and Amarr faction warfare join State Patriots and help us on the front.

I'm at 17m SP, and on my best day I consider myself on the low end of average.
~1000 WP and about a 3:1 KDR if I can stay focused and in a communicative squad.
~500 WP and 1.5:1 if solo or just ******* off.

it has nothing 2 do with WP, SP, KD, or leaderboards
because all of these can be boosted

the leaderboards only show you who has been around the longest, and who played ambush though the time that stats wrnt tracked in scrimish

im a vet, but not because of the stats, but because ive been around so long
being a vet is pretty much a combination of how long youve been around, how oftin you play, and how quickly you pick up on things. |

It doesn't take a no lifer to get 30 mill sp for example if I had boosted my entire Dust career I'd probably have around 30 mill sp.

I know WP is also an illusion. It's just that more people seem to care about K/D than WP, so this stat being boosted is not an everyday occurrence beyond people abusing the recruit system.
I mean it's not often that you hear people say "leul I have twice the amount of WP you have, so get gud scrub". It's more of the "leul why don't you pick up an AR and get gud like me, I have twice the K/D you have scrub"
But I do agree, the only way to determine someone's skill in this game is to asses their actions in battle. WP and K/D are miniscule because not every role pushes out high numbers for both stats when done well. A sniper or tanker will most likely have a higher K/D that a Logi or scout, and a Logi and Scout will most likely have more WP than a sniper or tanker.
I just wish that people would stop abusing an already miniscule, insignificant stat already.

how explain? 10 mill isnt even enough to top off and max 1 specc if veteran status were to be based on sp it would be 25 mill sp or higher..personally i look at it this way most vets in dust top 500 on leaderboards |
