Seriously - so many people out there using duvolles and imperials; why? Why do all you logis and assaults want quafe suits you can't even equip, let alone use? I'd understand getting just one for collectors but why more?
I was really hoping that most people would be running only advanced weapons for this event in order to get proto stuff, which would be far more useful to non-gallente scouts. Please help me understand why you all want quafe suits.
Is it because you think they're going to be rare in the future and therefore worth a lot on the market? Because that's just dumb - they won't be worth hardly anything because they're no different to normal gallente scout suits, so not even people with the appropriate skills will be using them anyway.

Why would we want free PRO weapons when most of the playerbase can already afford 200 copies of their favorite PRO gear, while still having buckets of ISK left over?
What people do want however, are the Quafe Suits. If you get 10 kills with a PRO weapon, you get a Quafe Suit. And those things are pretty rare.
The Quafe suits are quite possibly the rarest suit in the game atm, kinda like how the 'Black Eagle' suits were before CCP decided to nuke their value by giving everybody 50 of them.

Lmao I was actually laughing at how many non scouts I seen during the black eagle event. Probably about 10% had any sp invested into skills related for scouts. This event was no different except for the increased use of proto AR's for something that will never be used by them.

No one is ever going to buy your quafe suits because no one will ever use them. They are the same as gallente scout proto suits and would only ever be wanted by collectors and hundreds of people already have 25 of them from closed beta and now it seems thousands more will have them from this event too, so they're hardly going to be 'rare'.

TBH - I don't think many people care about quafe suits either.
Plus, with 1.7 somewhere close by theres a possibility that today's proto weapons = tomorrow's piece of garbage |

That's a fair guess, but it's still just a guess. Consider going for the Quafes to be playing the market.
I'm mixing it up, though...running the occasional PRO fit mixed in with my usual STD/ADV stuff.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

I played for half a dozen matches or so with a Duvolle to net a dozen Quafes to use in the future for fun and have since returned to ADV weapons for the PRO rewards. Anyone after ISK value in rewards is better off chasing variant weapons than Quafe suits. A Quafe suit will be worth about the same as a gk.0, which is 60k ISK. 60k ISK for 10 kills is 6k ISK a kill. A Duvolle Tactical or Carthum Assault is worth about 80k and you get twice as many. That's around 16k a kill. I don't need the ISK and I don't run PRO weapons, so both rewards are mostly useless to me.
Many suits I've worn, many burdens I've borne, for the oaths I've sworn.

Dammit, I thought the Quafe scout suits was different from the gk.0. Did it not use to have 3 high/3 low and 2 equipment slots? 3 highs would be great for damage modules, the regular gk.0 only have 1 high module. I have been working my ass off running exclusive proto which I otherwise very rarely do to get the suits and now you tell me they are only for the looks
I will be back to standard and advanced stuff when the event is over, I hate loosing isk on almost every match I participate in. |

I don't see any point anymore to get those 'Quafe' suits. Since CCP has been handing them out like candy recently, the resell value of the suits will drop when the secondary market hits because everyone has the suits and a lot of them are just going to hold onto the suits as vanity items for the warbarge.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.
