With the change to side arms from light weapons a logi losses a lot of his ability to support with a weapon, we own this change thanks to the slayer logis that misused the suit.That's why I want to ask that ccp add a tactical weapon along with the side arm to compensate for the change, a tactical weapon is a weapon that is for support your team in some sort of indirect way like the repair tool; making the repair tool a tactical weapon will open a path for a logi to support a team even further.Also, with this change it allows us to carry other equipment that can allow us to expand on a logis support ability.I also want to request a small cpu/pg buff to compensate for the added weapon. |

I added the two weapons i brainstormed in the above post.I'm going back to brainstorming more of these weapons, but i'll have them here as soon as possible. |

Nobody said logistics were going to be restricted to sidearms. CCP Logibro just reiterated the impending suit bonus change they're still working on properly coding as mentioned in the 1.3 patch notes. This sidearm drama came from the topic they made a bad choice of highlighting and people with poor reading comprehension.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

You mean this?
Again, I see nothing stating they were changing anything about the logistics slot layouts, weapon(s) included. Here's further confirmation that the sidearm restriction isn't going to happen:

Now if you want to discuss some of these "weapons" being support equipment to further define the logistics and scout roles, I'm all ears.

You still have some good ideas, some of these would make good EWAR equipment or sidearms. The idea of debuffs has been completely ignored in Dust and would add an extra dimension of combat to differentiate the game from mainstream FPS.

CCP will never get rid of light weapons for a logi. They will change the bonus because for some reason 5 HP armor regen is OP.
I do not get it because i can fit anything i want on my assault suits. There is nothing i can do with a logi that i can not do with an assault.
They call me the C.L.I.T commander.

But the question is are they going to change all the current racial bonuses to do this or simply change the suit bonus to something that affects equipment on a general sense. For a lot of us, the ultimate dud would be changing the racials to equipment specific bonuses like reppers and nanohives. Best case scenario would be to have a general bonus to equipment carried, or how efficient logistics are compared to other classes. This way when other toys come out, we won't be stuck with being good at using hives, reppers, scanners, injectors, and scanners.
Personally, I think we should scrap the bonus per level system and do basic tiericide for all the suits along the lines of all the tiers of a suit have the same slots they do at prototype, but with each suit tier having 3-5 different flat bonuses to allow more customization.
