I'm sure they recognize any opportunity that promotes the willingness to spend extra money (i.e start of holiday shopping season).

I just think its amusing that they keep doing all these promotions on AUR crap and still no one is buying it.
maybe its time to listen to the playerbase and introduce a mechanic to allow us to build the BPOs and have them as AUR items. Even if it was just STD stuff i know a load of folk would buy them to build cheap suits. tie it to LP store for materials and you get more folk in FW too. seems a simple solution to the issue |

It's my birthday so I bought $20 worth of Aurum and spent it on prototype level gear which I'm going to use to prance around and look pretty in. I don't really care what the discount is or was supposed to be.

This gets repeated in every thread that deals with aurum, but the aurum marketplace and aurum as a currency is now terrible value. Players that have been here longer than six months have absolutely no use for hundreds of expendable weapons that they can buy with ISK. For new players, the only advantage is you get to buy items which you are not proficient yet with to use in battle, which seems a bit of a paradox for me - if you are not proficient with the item, you certainly aren't going to be effective with it in battle. The only upside is maybe you can try out the item before investing skills into it, but then you'd only need one or two copies...
Then there are boosters, but if you bought merc packs like me, you're probably good for another couple of months anyway. Hope they find some way to make aurum attractive again. |

Typical. Real professionals they have over there. Maybe I should get a 4th grader to show these twits basic math, because this is not the first time that smarts evaded them. Maybe that kid could even point out what differentiates a good game, worthy of bringing out of Beta, from Dust.

I think they need to start phasing out aurum as the in between currency. The only things I liked were BPOs and boosters, the gear just isn't worth it after a certain point unless you have plenty of real world money. I have over 100,000 Aurum and I'm just waiting for something worth buying like a booster deal. With BPOs gone and no boosters in merc packs I don't see a reason to spend anymore money after I run out of Aurum. This is why they need a more lucrative item that can be an equivalent to Eves PLEX.
The Ellecon's come from a long line of Gallente. Tarn chose Peace. Tallen chose war.

YOU ARE WRONG! Lol I would rather spend 15aur for a 77k gun then spend my precious gold. You are trying to tell me your lvl 5 every single gun? Ps I have 30mill sp. Would you buy officer weapons with aur? |

Oh, what's that I see. A QQ comment about how CCP are breaching consumer law and you want to exercise your rights against them. Tough ****, I guess you'll have to take a page out of your own book and read the 'EULA' like you've all suggested to us BPO owners and SUCK IT UP. CCP had taken the opportunity to screw over its playerbase yet again, ain't nothing new!

So what NOW the EULA isn't good enough when CCP bend you over backwards and put it in your ass. Guess what dumbass, you bought Aurumn, you spent Aurumn, virtual currency that CCPQ own and which isn't covered under state or consumer law. You got the aurumn you paid for, how you spent it and how much you get for it, is up to CCP dumbass. Ahhh, feels good telling someone when they've been conned but are powerless to appeal against it, I guess now you know how us BPO owners feel. Isn't karma a B I T C H!
