Depends...It becomes a smaller scale PC match. Organized groups of 16 will have to expect other groups like themselves, if you go by PC standards people spend alot of money dieing just to take a objective in a PC game...It becomes a big frequent ISK sink when you can line up alot of games like that in FW. People might switch to cheaper gear just to compensate, they already use proto more usually then officer weapons in PC and using ADV gear in FW might follow with that logic. Still...You have organized groups roaming around leading them to crush those unorganized teams quickly...I bet FCs will make calls on whether to use proto gear or not in the warbarge.

It would make sense to run cheaper fits in FW to maximise gains both ISK wise when purchasing Factionalised content, and in regards to selling it.
There's no sense in losing a proto suit to get a mildly more expensive specialist suit. Just like there is no sense loosing a BC to cap a medium plex when you could do it in cheaper fits. |

I doubt that very much, people will fight to make the maximum profit....only way to do that is use the cheapest most effective fits you can, since you still have to pay to get factionalised rewards.
No point in going ISK negative and then having to buy 10 specialist drop suits to replace those proto you just lost in game. |

At first, yes.
But then as you build up your standings and start earning more and more loyalty points, you'll be able to purchase faction-specific weapons with these points and sell them on the market to other players for ISK at a price that YOU set.
Of course, CCP did say that this will come in parts so I would expect this to be built up over time.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

Exactly.
Factional Warfare will finally introduce a real incentive to win this time which should help get rid of stupid blueberries who don't want to contribute to the match in any way.
Also, don't forget that Friendly Fire will be ON at that point so it will be a whole lot easier to retaliate against a stupid blueberry should that occasion ever arise.

I am talking about dust field commanders in PC. The reason why AE, 0H and other leading district owners have so much land is because they have such effective people leading the fights.

FW has 1/10th the proto than Pubs. Do you really think those protostompers like Nyain San, AE, 0.H, etc play anything besides pub match ambush?
They go where the noobs are, they know better than to enter into FW. Because their they actually find competition, and they never want that.
People in FW have proto, but we don't use it, because we aren't scumbags trying to measure an internet ego by beasting on some Starter Fits fresh out of the Academy.
