Then describes a reference frame of time: "then we left."
Than describes a measure of degree: "I like the Gal suits more than the Cal suits."
Sorry, it's just that I see this all the time, and it slightly bugs me.

"Respect" means esteem, regard.
...
"Locus" is the name for our fragmentation grenades and it comes from Latin (loc-us,i)
"Locust" is a bug, an orthopterous, specifically.
LOL. Yah, those too.

It wasn't my intention to insult anybody, only to illuminate the ignorant.

Sorry, it's just that I see this all the time, and it slightly bugs me. You know what slightly bugs me the fact that you think anybody really cares what you say. Who are you again? Ill learn how to use correct words on a stupid forum when you learn how to be good in game. Which means its never gonna happen.
This is acctual an alt of mine. Most would know me as Ignoble Son.

Well, that sir, may be a little complicated for this medium of comunication. Let me demonstrate my meaning:
"That said however, I would like someone to explain to me the proper use of commas; because, I think their correct use is important, when reading messages; and, as my grammar is pretty poor, I'm not fully sure when to use them instead of full stops."
That^^^ is a very long sentence; but, after you put all the proper punctuation in, it is actually a proper sentence; however, in reality, it is three sentences strung together, like this one.
Your sentence structure is actually very good, though, I hope that you can understand why I am a little reluctant to attempt to explain the above to you. Your best bet would be to take a simple English 101 class at a local community college. Or, you could always just attempt to analyze the writting from sources you know should be correct, Such as, magazines and newspapers.
The most detail I am willing to go into is: you put commas where your brain naturally desires to take a pause. English grammar has simply identified all these instances and catolauged them.
Hope that that helped you out some.
