I saw a logi repping an assault logi yesterday.
Even with a stacked damage mod duvolle with proficiency I just could not get through his tank.
He even reloaded and was vulenarble, and still could not break his tank.
His armor just.. flinched and was topped off instantly.
Just... wow
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Every repper except the Core Focused is fine... but 150 HP/s is quite a bit, especially when the aggressor has to contend with strafing and hopping, while the repair tool is just locked on and doing its thing continuously. |

Meh, I am not sure myself.
I could have targeted the logi.
Just that by the time I noticed it, I was already reloading and the assault logi already finished reloading.
And two Assault rifles would end me even faster.

Even then, it was damn powerful.
An Assault rifle like that does around 600~ DPS.

I've been complaining about the logi assault part, not logi.
Unlike what most people here think, I actually love proper logis.
And I knew why they're good, just not THAT good.

Exact same thing happened to me.
I must've had him down to <50 HP and his Logi kept him up against a Duvolle (Prof 4) and 2x Complex Damage
Out in the open, just raining lead on the dude's face bone and he wouldn't die.
Got me twice before his Logi got wrecked.

Really? A duvolle dealt 1100 damage to me yesterday in my 700hp suit is about 1 second :/... I guess it just dealt damage faster than my suit registered it (pure, pure insanity)

A repair tool will never match the dps on an assault rifle so even if the logi is stuck to him with his tickler tool he will only last 2 or 3 more seconds in the line of fire then any other clone.

One of the corp guys was running proto sentinel with a duvolle and 4 complex reppers (25hps regen) with my core repper and wiyrkomi triage hives he was pretty much invincible. we just held point and slaughtered folk.

With a militia a t've taken down Heavy frames which was rep by 2 Logi.
If oyu miss Half of the shots it's not our fault.

I felt that DnB and Hardcore Techno was more fitting than Trance, Hardstyle, Freeform, or Ambient. It gives the video a rushed feeling that keeps you pumped and excited...which was how I felt through the match.
I wasn't sitting there relaxed the entire time, I was on my toes and trying to do things as fast as possible. I might upload a gameplay video here soon with some more downtempo stuff, but it has to be one without a lot of running around shooting things. Maybe flying in a dropship or something.

You were either in falloff range or mostly missing. He's only repping at 175 per sec, far less than half the DPS of your AR even without the damage mods and proficiency. I can tell you that I have lost plenty of bad players to ARs while repping them, they get overconfident, stop moving and die fast. So if the shooter is smart, shoot the logi. If the shooter is dumb just make sure you are actually in range. Failing that, nades will get them both. The logi only has a 10 meter range on that repper.

As to the issue of the rep tool god-mode......just kill the logi, they can't shoot back. Problematic shooter is now sitting duck.
As for the hive version of god-mode.......flux 2-3x then shoot. No more rep and they are likely to have few ways out of their current location, if it was intended to hold a point. |

Yeah and then you come across a guy with 4 Hives under his feet + Core Rep tool in his back totalling 395 reps, it was a Galogi with stacked heavy plates, couldnt even dent it...and the logi was almost always in cover...
You do know that those 2-3 seconds he is in your line of fire, that you are in his line of fire, but without 400 HP/reps a second and they stack 3x damage mods = dead before you know it....+ if he sidesteps into cover for 1 seconds he's back to full health ...
CCP always seem to either nerf stuff into the ground or make sh*t up that looks cool on paper, watching a logibro patch up his entire team ...so cool ...
Reality ...everyone else on his team is ****** and its all about one guy being repped to death...

My brother uses the core focused to keep people alive in firefights all the time. It's practically impossible to take anyone down who is getting repped like that unless you hit them with a grenade or concentrated fire from several people.
He's also been consistently scoring 1000 more points than anyone else on the team when he has a person to consistently rep that way because of his scan points, triage points, revive points, and restock points. He's great to play with, but it's kind of a joke how many warpoints he gets. |

Key word is potential here, and I think lots of people forget that what happens to them in a few games doesn't necessarily mean it affects all games.
When I'm stuck with a squad of shield tankers my repper is useless.
When I'm stuck with blueberries who don't appreciate the repper I'm useless.
Grenades wipe me out.
The Core Focused repair tool has a 10.5m range, meaning an AR most likely can target me if he can target the person I'm repping. I am extremely vulnerable when targeted, however I can simply cancel reps and jump away.
I cannot sprint whilst repairing, which means the person I'm repping cannot sprint, limiting mobility greatly.
I cannot use other equipment whilst repairing which means the rest of my squad could be suffering due to me repping someone else.
Equipment glitches where your weapon or equipment gets 'stuck' and looks funny wastes valuable time, especially in the middle of PC firefights.
These factors all hinder the effective use of the repair tool in each game, although there are situations where it can achieve its maximum potential and people only see how good they are when they do achieve this maximum potential, and as such most OP threads (I'll admit though the ones about the AR and Core Locuses are pretty accurate) are based on inaccurate data.
Just using this opportunity to point it out, not saying this is a QQ thread in any way.

This is not really a issue. Use a massdriver to hit the logi and the repped guy at once. Grenades work aswell.

Recently I've been running my heavy suit and having a friend logi for me.....that proto rep tool keeps me alive even in the most frantic firefights.....on average I'm going 15-0.......some I've gone 25-0...1500 hp with an ascr is great just hip fire and push and you'll stomp on people like they are ants.....go full proto to get really nasty though.........I've been waiting for hatemail but I guess they don't want to say TEAMWORK IS OP.... |
