Fortunately only Maximia has died, Demel also came close to it but he pulled through.

Even after our failed attempts to stop the alien threat, I hope it makes you proud to know I wont even go into a fight without a Sniper named Niina Eskola.... my god the numbers of aliens she has killed......
None of the other characters from that play through remain save for Col. "Dakka" Vines, and Niina "Longbow" Eskola.

Gideon would be proud too if he weren't in an alternate world at Endsville at the moment...... I had no idea that during the "worldshift" Callie wound up in XCOM.....

No doubt. Almost all of us have so far.
Niina panick, shot Leithe, my psionic in the back, killed him.
Kador was mind controlled by an ethereal and shot Niina, wounded her, and killed Callie Vines.
He was subsequently killed by a Muton Elite, after being wounded heavily by the Sectopod.
Niina escaped the mission seeing it through....but was killed during the next mission.
Aisha Neumann.....( 1 Million ISK if you get the character reference) survived as well and tried to revive Niina but was too late....
The council subsequently lost faith in the XCOM project.
All hail our new Alien overlords!

((Star ocean? I'm considering getting XCOM, but I've not got that much time to play it atm. I loved Phoenix Rising, which I think is similar, but I guess it just depends on how much time I end up with and how good it seems.))

The hidden gem of the PS3. 1 Mill ISK to you!
Playing through that game made you want to protect Aisha since she was only 13 and in the middle of the 2nd Europan War.

Just so you know, this is probably going to get moved to the Locker Room soon.
I had a love for Snipers in that game, so Marina Wulfstan and Catherine O'Hara were my girls and then there was Jane Turner.
I only played the first one by the way so I assume you're talking about that one.

The original is amazing....the second is a dating Sim, and the third looks good but is PSP only.

Played a demo, really liked it. and every time I find it, it's either out of stock, or I'm temporarily broke.

That game had, what was to me, one of the best most engaging stories I've ever had the pleasure of playing in a video game. You cared about the characters and their stories. (Poor Isara...) You even start to care about the antagonists and there was so much backstory to read. 10/10 Always for that game.

Yeah it was an engaging story and too this date only XCOM, Valkyria Chronicles, and Tales of Symphonia have successfully made me care about the characters in the games.
My Squad 7 was incredible. It was beautiful.
When Isara died it was heartbreaking, tears in eyes at the funeral listening to Rosie's song and her realisation that Darcsen's weren't so bad, seeing what happened at Naggiar, then at Ghirlandiao. Fighting through Fouzen was intense, fighting the massive tank out in Barious, and taking down Jaeger in Kloden.....
Such excitement.

One has to wonder what happened to him after he walked away and the war ended. So many questions. If they made what happened to him as it's own story I would definitely play it and I'm sure a lot of other people would too.
