So CCP decided to give vehicle users a respec but not a full respec only a part respec, it means your vehicle skills are refunded back to you and any infantry skills you have you still keep
For me that works out as about 20mil SP refunded
With that i could easily max out any 3 proto suits and the tank needed plus the core and sort out any of the weapons i like and proto stomp till the end of time since its alot cheaper than being a vehicle pilot
For any AV which is knee deep in the AV weapon and its suit, its tough **** CCP has basically said
For any FG they need the heavy suit, some enjoy the FG and if its gets nerfed in 1.7 they may want out but also out of the heavy suit since you need it to wield the weapon, the HMG is sub par in comparision to the AR so that leaves you with no weapons and you stuck in a suit you dont like which will gather dust until it becomes useful again
The SL is normally put on the fave assault suit generally with AV nades, the weapons have changed so they may also want out to put back into another weapon instead or suit
The respec is all one way, currently advantage pilots and we could easily flood into infantry and not bother about vehicles again because we can skill into at least 2/3 proto suits with a proto weapons and mods to boot because that SP is free and we are not forced to spend it into a certain path
So really everyone should get a full respec because some may want to try out vehicles now, they may look at 1.7 and think that finally vehicles maybe useful and fun and not just moving coffins and get out of infantry while players who want out of vehicles get the chance to do just that while the other half have to grind about 10mil more SP so they can get into it because no respec for you
Hell CCP just give everyone as full respec as a early xmas present, i can deal with that They were constantly buffed and now you want to fight for they respec so they can dump Plasma Cannon and spec in to one successful AV with support skill on lvl5. **** you, and have a nice day. Find your self other way to get more likes. |

Those which want the swarms will stick with them and make them work well, they wont give up
If they want to FG then fine they just need the fatsuit to boot and also the aim but coming from a fire and forget weapon they may have it hard espc if ADS still keep there agility
If they want to quit AV altogether then let them, they just cant QQ at a vehicle anymore
I mean when i hit the 20mil mark or so i was basically done with vehicles, i had everything i needed, i saved up 8mil for the pilot suit which never came so i spent my SP into infantry because i didnt want to sit on it for 6months because nothing may have changed, i have proto fatsuit with FG/HMG, i will keep the FG the HMG i replaced with a duvolle and i have a few suits to try out generally since in PC it helps if im more than just 1 thing
Now they increased the sink by a factor of 3 and i have infantry skills which id rarther put into vehicles but they kept pushing back the vehicle update and i was getting bored since everyone had proto AV so i went and tried out some infantry |

I wouldn' t call a 30% damage nerf alongside a 55% range nerf toned "down a bit" |

Being positive requires effort
I could have made a post saying **** all you tryhards i get a respec you potato sucking twats - positive for me but not for anyone else
But i didnt since a full respec is best for both sides (AV and vehicles), infantry just get a bonus respec and tbh when more suits come out like the scouts and heavys then ppl who were stuck with amarr heavy may want a respec to go to caldari heavy instead for example |

Hell CCP just give everyone as full respec as a early xmas present, i can deal with that i only want a full respec so i could take the sp ive put into infantry, since maxing out my vehicle skills, and put them into vehicles where i will need them since vehicles will cost even more sp now. Well they did increase the SP sink At 20mil i was capped out with my vehicles, now they increased it by a factor of 3 so i need 60mil I held 8mil spare for pilot suits which never turned up Vehicles get a respec but now the investment that i currently put in isnt enough anymore Just say if they did the same to medium suits and they increase the SP mulitplier to a x16 and the current SP you have only lets you get a basic for example, would you be happy?
hell no which is why im frustrated with not getting a full respec. they did this before when went from open beta to uprising. i was maxed out in tanks, then they increased the sp sink and respecced us. now theyre doing it again.
thing is though, if you look at the trend CCP has had with vehicles, it doesnt look good.
from open beta to uprising, we lost our PG skill (good riddance to CCP Blam!) and marauder tanks while suffering an increased SP sink.
now were going from uprising to 1.7 with all specialized vehicles except the assault dropships being removed and replaced with standard level vehicles while suffering another increased SP sink.
its almost like being set back to square one every few months... like they did in "beta" |

Well if you dont like the PG skill being removed you better not read the CPU skill
We have lost that 5% per level of extra CPU now
Also we havent got MAV/JETS or speeders in and also we are missing the other racial vehicles and pilot suits with possible extra mods
60+mil SP right now for everything in the vehicle tree, it will be alot more in the future |
