I don't really know how this would work but i will go a head and try talking about it anyways. Right now the best AAV(aerial assault vehicle) we have is the Assault Dropship and although it is a nice change from a standard or logistics dropship it says in its description that it is a low-level aerial attack craft, which is what made me think of this.
I would like to see a high speed fighter jet style aircraft that only has 1-2 seats and can either be full anti-vehicle utilizing swarm launcher like weapons or maybe be mostly anti-vehicle but able to carry 3 low or medium yield bombs at the cost of speed and relatively high pg/cpu usage. I suggest low or medium yield because the bombs aren't meant for anti-vehicle but to clear a small area of enemy infantry or at least disorient them.
So...yeah that is about all i got atm...If anyone has also thought about this feel free to expand on what i have put up preferably trying to go into more depth than i did lol. If you feel this is a bad idea please keep your criticism constructive and maybe if/when CCP implements this we can help them get it right the first time. |

light will most likely be speeders.
i would like to know whats happening with gunships though, they have been confirmed but no info.

Wow i didnt realize they already had concept art going and thanks for the correction SILVERBACK 02...So anyone want to talk stats?
do you think their base shield/armor will copy their ground counter parts (LAVs), what role will the speeders play pure anti-vehicle or will they be able to engage infantry as well? |

I would really guess with numbers. I can guess characteristics.
FAST. Really fast.
LAV level EHP.
Lock-on type weaponry.
Countermeasures.

The focus of Dust has been and should remain on the ground. I don't mean that there shouldn't be aircraft, I'm a pilot for crying out loud. Rather, I feel that all aerial vehicles should have ground support as their primary role while any air to air capability should remain as a secondary function. We would retain the ability to create a build based solely around killing other birds of course, but an aerial attack vehicle would base its primary attributes around the goal of assisting ground pounders.
In my eyes, this means we should look less towards air superiority fighters for inspiration and more towards vehicles like the A-10 Warthog. Aircraft with relatively low top speeds, but high maneuverability and the overall hp to take a pounding. In that case, we would be looking at a HEAVY aircraft, not light.
That's just my opinion though. |

Is it just me who is starting to feel that Fighters and such should be launched from the MCC?
