Taking advantage of a market, or "ripping people off" is not illegal. Ccp delivered 'product y' after people paid for 'product x'. It is realy that simple. Knowing that ccp can't be trusted why would you give them more money?
ACTUALLY
CCP delivered "product Y" then discontinued it and gave everyone a refund.
now if you bought a BPO with your aurum and were givin a voucher for $5 off pizza at dominos instead of recieving said BPO and using it for a while, THEN your analagy would be correct. |

if you concider THAT mental gymnastics... then im sorry but you need someone else to have legal athority over your estate because your not mentally competant enough to function. |

except it was determined that X was offered and X was delivered and people were doing the whole "we diddnt read the contract we signed" BS like they are doing now in an attempt to say they were givin Y instead of X.
how do we know thats true? well nobody ended up getting sued because lawers took one look at it and laughed at anyone who tryed. |

this was gone over in detail at the time, and legally speaking, X was delivered.
and since its a legal contract, it doesnt matter weather or not you hold the belief you were givin Y. |
