I love how people are complaining about the removal of four militia vehicle module blueprints. I'm beginning to think that some of the people on these forums don't know how to read without being blinded by some strange all consuming rage at nothing.
By the way, for these particular items you bought the Aurum from Sony and then used the Aurum as credits for these items so... good luck

Four militia BPO's that if you got to keep would be worthless and if you got refunded would be worth what... a few cents, maybe a couple dollars? What are you gonna do, buy a Coke?

I have made a complaint under the following circumstances, failure to comply with Sales of Goods Act 1979, as well as a complaint regarding underhand business tactics and poor customer service.
I would also like you all to note a little extract taken from moneysavingexpert.com
Understanding the law If you've got a dispute going on, it's important not just to know your rights, but to understand how and why they work.
Every time you buy something, be it a mobile phone from a mate or a week in Cuba from a travel agent, you make a contract with the seller. What does this contract really mean?
Both you and the other party agree to terms and conditions. The seller has agreed to provide your 'statutory rights'.
*Note the phrase the seller has agreed to provide your statutory rights, not a third party developer, producer, manufacturer, burger van owner or car salesman.
I encourage everyone to exercise their consumer rights and seek legal advice against CCP, and do not be afraid to take action If you get the go-ahead From your legal advisor or consumer rights group, as I certainly will be. Part of the agreement you make when purchasing stuff from CCP says that CCP has rights to change and reimburse you, the consumer, with any item(s) of (what they deem as) equivalent value. Your getting reimbursed anyway, so I don't see the problem here...... Part of my rights as a consumer is to request a refund of equal measure if I am not satisfied with the terms offered when one party to the purchase agreement decides to change it. As a consumer I am legally entitled to request a CASH refund of equal value If CCP decides that it does not want to honor the original agreement. I suguest you educate yourself a little more on consumer rights, and stop banging your head against EULAs. Wow man you are going to be 5 dollars richer wow man I was wrong then. He can buy more than one Coke.

So what leg are you standing on?
This post here where CCP is telling you to "HURRY UP AND BUY" https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1420895#post1420895The fact that they made a dev post encouraging you to buy items that not a couple of months later they were going to remove. It is misleading to the customer and basically a swindle perpetrated by CCP to create a massive influx of money that had people known then that this would happen would probably not have made a purchase of AUR to buy said items. BAD BUSINESS CCP! I hope his suit has a leg and actually goes somewhere. Would you buy a new fridge simply because you saw a Whirlpool ad, even though it would add absolutely nothing to your life? Probably not. It was your decision to buy, not CCP's. That's like saying it's the stove's fault you stuck your hand in the fire.

Probably not. It was your decision to buy, not CCP's. That's like saying it's the stove's fault you stuck your hand in the fire. Being a victim of false advertisement doesn't make you an idiot, it just makes the corporation and idiot for trying to pull the wool over your eyes, fleece you for your money and exploit you as a consumer and expect to get away with it without facing any repercussions. So you bought. CCP realises that in order to better the game they have to change the mechanics of the game which would require the removal of said items, including the variants you bought. CCP reimburses you the AUR/credits you purchased in order to obtain said item, which is reasonable, at least you can spend it on something else in-game, and you decide to look to sue them. Okay.
Let's say CCP let's you keep the items instead. What then? You can tell people you have these BPOs that make one more thing you have to scroll past as you make a fitting.
Or let's say you win. You get back your $5, you buy a few Cokes. Better be the damn best tasting Cokes you ever had cause they sure as hell ain't going to last you as long as the BPO's you had.

Seymor Krelborn wrote:so how much of our stuff do they have to take before you think its worth fighting for? some of you people ae very shallow thinkers... you see the tree in front of you and dismiss the forest. Of all the things... Okay let me get this right.
You bought Aurum. Whatever your intentions with said Aurum... You bought Aurum. With real money you entered the PSN Store and clicked the Aurum amount, add to cart and then purchased it. You did not click on militia BPO and then buy it, you clicked on Aurum, which is a currency to use in Dust514 to purchase items that are for sale within the game universe for Aurum. You purchased within this game universe using the Aurum which you bought for real world money, a militia BPO or a few.
CCP, the developers of the game, while they were trying to make the game better realised that in order to have the game progress mechanically, they must alter certain mechanics within the game that require them to remove the FOUR MILITIA BPOS that would simply cease to function once they update the game. Because of this they decide that upon their removal you will be reimbursed the Aurum which you used to obtain said in-game item.
CCP previously stated that they will not be removing BPOs from inventory. Okay fair enough. But they stated afterwards that in order for the game to progress they need to remove these things and that they'll reimburse you the Aurum which is replacing the item with something of equal value which you can even use to purchase something else in game. So instead of saying okay it's fair at least I can use the Aurum to get something else in-game you want to sue them. CCP is not responsible for your intent when you seek to buy Aurum.
So you worry about other BPO's that may get removed. While I doubt CCP would do this, though I do not discount the possibility, it would probably result in a virtually immediate shutdown of the servers as no one would continue to play this game. These BPO's are getting removed as a result of changes to the game. What you want CCP to change their development so you can keep the most useless BPO's in existence?
You call me a shallow thinker? All you see is one thing BPO's. There are other things in the game as well. You're simply too narrow-minded to buy them.
By the way if CCP were to unanimously decide to shut down the servers tomorrow they wouldn't owe you ****.
