why do i have the feeling that logistics suits will have high and low slots reduced :/...
it is apparent that the LOGISTICS suit is the go to suit for slayers in DUST and we all know CCP doesnt like kill stats being oriantated around one sole specific suit/role
with the over use of the drop suit have we doomed ourselves for an impending LOGI nerf?
just look what happened to the flaylock..

Because they should have the same slot count as Assaults.They already have multiple Equipment slots in exchange for the sidearm and and better bonuses. |

You have to admit the Flay Lock out performed most main weapons and was overused as a main weapon therefore it deserved a nerf. The Logi suit currently out performs the assault and is being overused as an assault it will get nerfed or it's counter part buffed or both.

I get the feeling that "true logis" are going to suffer more from whatever adjustments may get made to the logistics class. Unless CCP does the smart thing and simply adjust the assault class instead and give them something with sense like a minor damage bonus, coupled with the 10% damage increase given at Uprising being rolled back.

I don't think this is a bad idea at all. A maxed out Logi suit has a built in Complex repper. Why shouldn't an assault suit have a built in Damage mod?

Replace idiotic passive rep bonus with equipment resource reduction.
Done. Fixed. Truebros get improved equip fitting, higher base HP, faster move speed for having normalized potential EHP values with assaults. Murderlogi's get nerfed.

The suits serve a different purpose, hence the suit having a different slot layout. If I only had two low slots on my Minnie Logi and Five high slots what the hell else would I put there but shields and damage mods? WIth the 4 and 4 at proto I can fit a plate, my kin cat, my codebreaker and still a cardiac regulator for those long distance runs if I need it, while stacking a bit of shields with some extra recharge in the high to increase long term survival, while keeping my equipment at the ready.
The passive rep, for those who don't understand is that the logi is repping others while the suit can sustain itself to keep itself alive longer, thereby keeping those around it alive longer. The Logi does not need adjustments, the Assault suits do. Assaults should be swift (Not as swift as scouts) and have high DPS with decent tank hence why the Assaults should have a damage bonus, with the 10% rollback like I mentioned. Sure they can stack damage mods on top of that, but so can other suits if need be. As long as they keep the CPU/PG roughly the same the tank on assaults would not get absolutely stupid while they have the extra damage from the bonus as well as their damage mods. Plus it would give the GalAssault a worthwhile assault bonus...

The only way to stop the Logi from getting a Nerf is to make it so they have a invalid fitting if they DONT fill their equipment slots, and make it so dmg mods have a higher stacking penalty and draw more CPU/PG then other suits.
True Logis do not get a direct Nerf(since they fill their equipment slots first anyway, and can still fit a dmg mod.)
And assault Logis go away and start asking for respecs. |

I could support a small inherent damage bonus, like 3 percent but not 10, thats too much, I personally think assaults need a cpu pg buff badly so that the suit can be fitted with more complex modules and weapons, to me the defining characteristics of the suit are not in slots but in its movement speed, base hp, faster shield regen, and sidearm capability. The slot layout for the cal assault is similar to the logi once you comsider base hp diffrence, it cant carry the equipment and thats part of the logi envy we see, the ability to make wp with equipment.

Easy way is give logi's the sidearm only but increase cpu/pg and throw in an extra equipment slot for each suit, also swap the lowslots of the gall assault/logi's and all is hunky dory. and before anyone goes ranting at me that i don't play logi so no idea. well i'm a 30.3m sp gallente logi with pro 5 in my AR but i'd welcome the sidearm only change to force me back into being a 'proper' logi again and i can always put them AR skills into use on my other suits and finally train into another assault suit |

I like the idea of buffing the assault class especially with built in damage bonus. Assaults are suppose to deal damage so why not give the assault suit 1-2% damage increase per level. The logi suits already have built in repper 1hp/s per level.
Enough with nerfing just give the assault this buff and work on TTK. |

Make equip slot mandatory for deploy like weapon, and ONLY one must be on par with the meta of the suit.

but those who use it as an assault will slap in a proto uplink or hive and then just use basic for rest the stuff and still roll around better than the assaults. all thats doing is making someone put in some basic equipment. it wouldn't solve jack s*** I can run a bunch of proto equipment and duvolle and 3 complex damage mods while still having 802 armor hp on it. it'd perhaps lower some of the ability of the other suits but they would stil probably out do the assaults |

Sometimes good assault players beat logis. But the facts are ALOT of great shooters in this game run logi and will still own you in an assault suit. |

The problem in these topics is always the same, mercs only look at what the logi can do. You should take the time to discern what the diffrences are between assault and logi. Yes logis can stack more ehp, and obviously we can carry more equipment which when used to stand in triage hives and fight can give certain suits a great advantage, we also excel at making war points due in large part to this equipment ability. But you must consider all diffrences not just those you envy. Can my cal logi tank more ehp? Yes, but the assault has more base ehp, the assault is faster, has more shield regen, shorter delay, more stamina, faster stamina recovery, and a sidearm, now assault users want all of that and the same ehp? The same equipment slots? The same ability to stack damage mods? Who is creating the imbalance here? Assaults need bonuses that are better and more cpu pg to actually fit a good suit, but saying they need to just be better than logis out of the gate is not balanced. Contrary to what you think about your self many times its not that logi suit that is beating you it is a superior player. |

This isn't a black and white thing, many things can be done, at the same time, all of them can be buffs and nerfs.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Easier to nerf one class rather than buff the heavies, scouts, assaults etc. There are many ways to work this to stop them from being slayers from reduced slots with increased based HP, to well the forums are full of some really great examples.
Personally I'v been pushing for only allowing one damage mod per suit, with a CPU, and PG nerf to logies while giving the other logi suits similar bonuses like what the Gal Logi has to make up for the CPU and PG. |
