At least for me, the big draw for the Amarr would be the ability to purchase LP uplinks. That would be huge for rounding out my 'Winmatar' uplink runner suits.

Well.
You can fully fit out a Caldari assault (and get the suit) from the Caldari LP store. Shield extenders, damage mods, regulators, CPU upgrades, rail rifles, nanohives. The ability to fully fund a suit from the LP store is significant when there are no isk payouts, and the Caldari LP store is unique in this.

I suppose so, but BPOs will become less relevant due to lack of supply (and they're not hugely powerful anyway) as time goes on, whereas this could be an enduring issue with high power equipment.
I wrote a little about my LP store concerns here. If you have more to add, please do.

Yes we do, a bunch of us HARDCORE FW players discussed this with Hans in Dust Scussions a while back and impressed upon him the need for a p2p market, |

You're going to enjoy the ISK SINK very much. I still think it's lame. There is no sense in making people grind LP and then having items that cost LP and ISK... Yet, the way to get LP gives you zero ISK. It's just silly. EVE doesn't even do this. You can make ISK as well as LP by running missions. LP is just a bonus, albeit a very small reward for a mission completed. One would think that the same company who makes EVE would also make DUST with similar mechanics...
