scouts have turned into the assassins of this game so you what high burst damage weapons, SG/NK/MD/PLC/Scram pistol. you get the idea, charge scram rifle might work well at range. if you are minmatar DO NOT use your lows for tank, go for either one kincat one cardstab, or a CPU upgrade and a damper. universally I have seen minmatar scouts running extenders in the highs.
scouting is a lot like playing the spy in TF2 you sneak in some where the enemy doesn't expect you drop an enemy and disappear, try to engage one on one, or when they are under by your teamates from an other direction. NEVER!! leave cover near an enemy! avoid being out of cover as much as possible, if you don't get first hit use your speed and disappear.
when running away don't run in a straight line, use cover as much as possible and remember the enemy losses line of sight and they cant see you any more, use this to your advantage to get around behind them, some of the best scout out their the ones I aspire to be like, will run around the same three objects getting kill after kill, even tho they look trapped.
there is this really fine line between too aggressive, and never getting a kill with a scout, I tend to fail on the aggressive side, I try to win instead of engaging intelligently, the best mentality of a scout seems to be a cold cunning slayer of men, you love to outwit and out maneuver your opponent, while staying level headed when the game is not going in your favor.
Scouting is hell, its hard mode, but for the few that like it its the only fun way to play the game and thats why they keep playing scout. |

if I was gonna do that I would use a damp or a cpu extender in that slot instead if you get into armor in a minja you fail anyways. But like I said I fail aggressively and the extra stam lets me jump and run my way out of some crazy situations I mean I'm either running shooting, or reloading in that suit thats how much stam it has. |
