Range - Correct
Damage - Incorrect, someone did a video test, the HMG is actually laser accurate, allowing you to apply your full damage
CQC - ^
Longer ammo life - Yes, you get more spare clips with the AR, but your HMG clip lasts 3 times as long. 15 seconds for a discharge.
Better Accuracy - See above.

Better Accuracy - See above. I'm strictly talking practical application observed from hundreds of matches using both weapon platforms. AR outperforms HMG in almost all typical situations

I fought against a heavy in a PC match.
We were something like 20 meters away from each other.
I had an AR with 2x complex damage mods and something like 700 eHP.
I got the beat on him, and started shooting, aimed down sights and making sure all of my bullets hit.
He turned around, and before I could finish him off, destroyed my suit.
This experience is why I don't think the HMG is underpowered upclose, but rather people suck at aiming.
I do agree however that the HMG needs a bit more range.
