As it sits currently, we barely survive longer in this game then players do in fast shooters like COD. Counter Strike or BF, and at range you survive a lot longer in these games. Twitch shooters are some of my favorite shooters, but Dust is not suppose to be one.
Unlike the average quick shooters, when we loose stuff in game it severely affects us after the match ends. Our choices need to matter, but time to kills that differ by fractions of a second are not good in promoting this.
It also makes brick tanking and damage module stacking the best way of playing. Variety is the spice of life and we need a lot more of it, especially at the proto level.
Damage of everything needs to be decreased, SEVERELY! Remember when Uprising first launched? Weapons took so long to kill at range that almost all fighting occurred in less than 30 meters. That was great! It kept fast players at an advantage, gave snipers leverage, made HMG's a force to be reckoned with and in affect benefited all involved. I want that back. WE NEED THAT BACK.

Also, from the concept art, the Caldari heavy seems to have a bigger head; more head shots.

You know why this TTK business is so popular right now? Because it's so oversimplified every man jack and his mother's cat could say "TTK needs to go up". The only reason people talk so much about the AR is because almost all the top players have it at proto, with either level 4 or 5 in both damage proficiency and dispersion.
Guess what? The Scrambler Rifle is just as effective at proto level. I would argue that the Carthum Assault Rifle is just, if not more, deadly than the Duvolle.

I can tell when someone is running damage mods cause when you have full health, 200 shields and 500 armour, and your in a Caldari suit......there is no way your not running Dmg mods Damage proficiency as well. 15% damage is almost two more Complex damage mods.

So what's a damage nerf across the board going to achieve? They will still be great weapons. Nothing changes, games just end slower, people lose ISK slower but people gain ISK slower too. There is no mention of specific changes here. I never said nerf the AR or buff the scrambler pistol, I'm saying that a thread explaining why the AR specifically should be nerfed is more productive than just asking for TTK to increase.
What changes?
Fighting styles that are useless at competitive levels become useful again.
Scouts become something to fear. So do heavies.
If you played when Uprising was first released, you would understand.

DUST requires between 10 and 30 shots to kill a common med frame, maintain the ROF of the said games. You die in 1-3 seconds of perfectly applied damage.
This is not to say a longer TTK wouldn't be nice. I personally LOVE Halo and the way it plays. I just feel you are WAY overreacting to a rather minor change. 1.5 seconds or 1.6 seconds, such a change :-P We are not over reacting. I was like you, but that was before I played enough games. There is no doubt in my mind that the TTK is far too fast.
