That's good for advanced scanner, I believe. You'll need to sacrifice too much in order to stay under the prototype ones.

If you're still getting scanned, then that means someone is using the best scanner out there. Best hope to avoid that is to max out the Gallente scout suit since that is the only suit capable of evading all scanners including the most powerful one.

That spread sheet fitting tool is saying you will be getting 33.12 profile with a basic light frame and 26.5 with a scout frame using those skills and setup. Which suit is it you are running? |

If you want complete stealth you need Max skills in it and treat it as a specialisation rather than taken for granted because your a scout like it used to generally be.

You aren't dampened enough to avoid any prototype scanners. With the specs you posted, your profile is 26.496, and the precision of all prototype scanners is at most 26, the focused being 15.
The only way to avoid most prototype scanners is having Scout lv5, at least profile dampening lv3, and an enhanced dampener (STD if you have dampening 5). For the focused scanner, you need both skills at lv5 and a Scout Gk.0 with 4 complex dampeners, and that is the ONLY WAY to avoid it. |

Then you need to pick your battles carefully. I already have Minmatar Scout Suit to level 5 (25% reduction total) with Profile Dampening to Level 3 (6% reduction total). This brings my overall profile down to 31dB from 45dB. Some scanners won't pick me up. But when I do get spotted by that one proto scanner, I make a run for it and try to find another place to hide and continue my sneak attacks from there.
Often times I utilize the confusion to my advanced. When an enemy group is too distracted, they don't pay attention to what's behind them. As a result, this leaves them wide open to a rear-ward attack. Just this morning, I managed to get a 7-kill streak with just the ZN-28 nova knives because I camped an objective but maintained my distance from it to avoid getting spotted. And as targets were getting distracted, I picked them off from the rear. Most of the assaults were dying to my OHKs with just the instant-slash alone.

Do high-slot Precision Enhancers work with the Scanner? Because then nothing could beat it except a Gallente with 4 complex Dampeners.
My Scout has 2 enhanced Dampeners, level 3 Dampening and I still get picked up, completely ruining my chances at being a Scout player what-so-ever. |

Since you are Minmatar scout, you will likely have to setup three different Mk.0 fittings. One with two profile dampeners, one with a mix of kin-cats and cardiacs, and one with a pure kin-kat fit. See which fitting helps you out the most.
If you get spotted while wearing kin-cats, you have the advantage of getting out quickly before anyone can reach you.

It has to be the Duvolle, but I only use M-1. I have to sacrifice my only low-slots for dampening now. Unless I'm play randoms, then I get to use the kin-cat one. |

Then it's settled. He'll have to cross train into Gallente Scout level 5 to avoid ALL scanners including the 15dB one.
But let's be honest here. How often does one even encounter a 15dB scanner when most suits on the field are easily picked up by just the advanced one simply because most suits on the field are either logi, assault, or heavy? If someone is in the field sporting a 15dB scanner, then that must be one paranoid merc who is dedicating himself to hunting invisible scouts.

Show your math please. I think the problem may be in how CCP rounds off numbers. With whole number they round off digits - always up. In other words, if your stat's work out to be 35.1 (for example) dB signature, the game sees that you are 36 dB, and so you would be picked up by advanced AS that has 36 dB sensitivity. As an aside, my example is real - lv 3 min scout with level 3 dampening ends up being just over 35 dB and cannot defeat the 36 dB scanners. I hope this helps. |

This comes up too often. Min scout is broken because CCP has broken game mechanics where they on purpose decided to take out melee combat out of the game in their erratic attempts to rework the game. As simple as that. |

I think with your set up it's not 'that one OP duvolle' proto focused AS that picks you up. All proto AS will pick you up. Their sensitivity starts at 28 dB and goes down. And this is part of the problem with min scout. It's easy to beat advanced scanners and impossible to beat proto scanners w/o sacrificing one of the two low slots to a module. Of course as everyone has said this, it's impossible for min to beat the proto focused duvolle. |

If you're going to be a dedicated Scanner for your Squad, why not use the very best one? Why let anything slip through the cracks? I get picked up all the time when I try to Scout against an organized team. It's flippin' annoying. |
