Nerfing the AR now, a couple of weeks before the release of two more guns is silly so stop asking for it. Nerfing the AR would mean nerfing the scr aswell, and what about the SMG? The MD is very powerfull... And how would the LOS vs AOE relations go? Explosive spam is a big enough problem as it is in Dust. We mosly all agree that the current TTK is too short, but I think its a matter of damage nerf across the board, not only the AR, nades in particular needs a nerf IMO. Yeah I'm not suggesting the AR is a noob gun, if it was so easy, everyone using an ar would go 15-1 in every game right? This leads to a balanced play field when both players are utilizing the same kit. Unfortunately, if a player is not using the AR they have drastically lowered chances for survival. Even Mass Drivers suffer, what with the travel time of the rounds. Also, Scrambler Rifles being easier than Assault Rifles? I'd really like one of you people to put up a decent argument for that instead of just stating it as if it were a fact. I've personally crunched the numbers and the AR seems to come ahead in almost every situation. ECM Equipment

Couldn't ever agree more, Protos get so pissed when you kill them with militia gear or anything for that matter, not everyone's like that but most of them are. You're playing a SHOOTING game DYING is to be expected.

Requiring more skill than a Gallente AR? No offense intended, but that just makes no sense to me. I've used all of the above and then some, and the only real skill weapons in this game that I can see are the scrambler pistol (ADS is too slow), the flaylock pistol (broken), nova knives (needs a buff), and MAYBE the burst AR if you really push it (just got pushed back into semi-usefulness after the 1.6 patch hit detection updates). But if the ScR and MD give you a challenge, more power to you I suppose. I see both as requiring the same skill LEVEL as an AR, they just require you learn the skill set and playstyle needed to operate them. So yeah... if you've not toyed with them as much as the AR.... I suppose I can see the challenge there. Your adapting to a whole new playstyle, which therefore causes you to endure more of a challenge.... in which case... Toxin AR & SMG combo > anything else :P Madlax is currently working at Mastering his SCR-FU, i played his character for one evening couple of nights ago to show what you can do with it, while not using the Amarr Suit and very limited SCR skills as opposed to my skills all being at V, and i got pretty much the same scores as if i would be playing with my own character. He's now a converted believer after i went 40+ with his Caldari Assault, Imperial SCR and just one skill at V. (i got 2 PS3's so at my house and he lives 10 minute drive away) :) Revoltz Dude!!! ....not funny getting gunned down by that Toxin AR & SMG Combo, in your hands it felt just like getting nailed by a Duvolle, those matches with 2 Spectres vs 6 rainbows really takes out all my focus and leaves me drained for half an hour, but it sure is an Awesome Awareness Workout from Hell. That's ridiculous, just tapping R1 15 bullets into firing will have a similar effect though, its get rid of recoil pretty fast. @Rei, yea bud i was loling running away with a tiny bit of HP, trying to run down the mountain to safety and luckily for me a random blue dot took you out :P I was worried you'd catch me haha.
