Why are some tankers talking about such thing as "honor" (hounor)

You only ever occasionally can beat a Maddy in a straight up fight, but if you needle it enough, wound his pride then like all armour tank he will get super aggressive...like I tend to do.... and right when he thinks he is safe....he makes his slip up. To exaggarate a bit... Yo bud, I have killed like 6 tanks since we last played :) Lol I was running Soma with 1.3 M SP and winning most tank engagements......although I was taking adavantage of allied Swarm launchers to do it.
