I was highly amused to hear that CCP thought anyone would get a 5.0 kdr with them.

The black Eagle is a beautiful suit and if hit detection and TTK was reasonable this would be a fun suit to run. I love the suit myself and cant wait to use them, but at the current time it only takes someone to breath on you as a scout and you die. I would just mothball them and wait for a another day.

Also CCP I have one question, how did you expect a scout suit in today's environment to kill 10 individuals so they could receive 1 of the same suit as a reward.

Personally, Iv been having no problems getting 16 - 20 kills a match with one of these suits. Thinking its the AR since its an easy scrub weapon and its my first time using one on a scout suit since im not spec'd into them.

Is terribad. I'm thankful for my free copies CCP but I'll be damned if I can get a kill with these ultra gimped suits.

Indeed, I already had 10, I'm saving them all along with my other vanity suits to sell to collectors, every game has them.

im fully spec'd into gallente scout

and this suit does not suck your just used too EZmode assault & logistics

I used a few on an account thats not spec'd and I went 16-4

it has more base speed then a regular scout so you dont need any reds

if your level 5 in cores you can run a complex extender

if you remove the shotty for a toxin or exile you will gain a little more fitting room

one complex damage mod will apply to both weapons


there may be other hidden stats in the suit your not aware of

like speed, dampening, range or even precision

1 Damage mod won't effect both weapons - Black Eagle AR is a Sidearm

Incorrect. Damage mods affect the weapons, not the slots. Running a sidearm damage mod and 2 sidearms gives a bonus to both, not just the one in the sidearm slot. Much like both the Shotgun and the AR benefit from a damage mod.

Just o clarify a few things. The Black Eagle Scout suit was one of my favorite suits when we got them in Chromosome. They were pretty awesome. But they lack Customization. You are railroaded into speed tanking, as the suit has 2 low slots that cannon be modified. It secretly has 1 MLT Kinetic Catalyzerand 1 MLT Cardiac Regulator. It also has a hidden MLT Shield extender that you also can't change. (this is what the stats reflect in change from G/1-series to Black Eagle)

But if you used the Black Eagle Scout suits in Chromosome you'll notice 2 big differences: 1) TTK has increased and made the shotgun under-powered in CQC. (2) The base speed of the suit has deceased to reflect the change in Scot movement and Sprint Speeds from Chromosome to Uprising.
(3) The Black Eagle Scout suits looked amzing before too, but without the warbarge you probably aren't paying that much attention anymore. It had a white base that the black armor plates went over. And the white bits were shiny! and the black parts were matte. . . hey F'ed it over in th appearance department. But Scout suits just looked better back then

The Black Eagle Scout Suit was badass. Now it is just another Scout suit, under-powered. Fortunately we can use the massive drop in KDR as a hopeful way to solidify the "DEV hugs" the scout suit was promise it would eventually get. More Speed and More damage more scanning! I might run a 701 armored Gallente Scout, but if speed tanking was viable and if the shotgun was a good CQC weapon I would go back to my speed suit in a heart-beat.

Just went 6/1 with one of these babies. Slap a enhanced shield extender on it and find a good group to roll with. Hang back in the shadows or follow behind a large group and take advantage of the chaos. Profit. :D

I actually dropped on a dmg mod - it will benefit both weapons.

125 vs 161 shield - no biggie.

The shotgun was actually quite satisfying. Might skill into them in the future though I want a 2 Light Weapon scout class. Maybe I will wait for the cows to... my Minmatar Commando if it isnt super slow.

I had no idea that me basically being sad panda over the Black Eagle Suits would garner this much of a response O_O

I am just glad to be using a suit that has more than 200 hp. Even if it does get scanned all the time.
