use an advanced gek fit, with triple damage mods, you seriously aren't much different then a proto at that point.
in the current build proto suits don't mean nearly as much as they used to.
i'm recommending this to you, the creator of this thread, we earn proto's to use them, the best way to make people stop using them is to kill them enough to make them lose profit.
plain and simple if you want to make people stop using proto's, kill them. |

I got stomped long enough, my dues are paid. I saved and only ran suits i could profit from until i hit proto and now i spend that isk killing. It's part of the game. Heck, I still suck at the game even in proto gear.
Plus, fighting against proto in blueprint suits just forces you to get better at the game.

True I could probably win in std, but I hate to see ppl suffer, proto puts you out of your misery a little faster.

tbh I wouldn't use proto in pubs if it wasn't for 80% of blueberries being complete **** which means that me and my squad usually has to work double time just to make things even.

When I see that happen, I either run Proto myself to even the playing field, or I go cheap fits and try to make them pay. I never have given it a second thought beyond that, and certainly not far enough to demand others to "stop" or demean them. But that's just me...Leadfoot |

Protos have no where to go, they invested the SP and want to use it so it all trickles into pubs.
They do not want a GÇ£fair" fight.
They want to pad their KDRs.
They want to enjoy their time in squad, so rather than stressing over any competition they would rather roll everything.
They don't care about new players.
Have plenty of Isk so can run nearly all the time.
Love when a full proto death squad finally gets matched against another full proto death squad...one side quits or just switches to different suits. Love hearing the guys on team chat complain how it's not fair another group is using proto against their proto.
But CCP has got to address the issue. GIVE PROTOS SOMEWHERE TO GO! And/or add restrictions to matchmaking via meta level and see which kind if matches gets more people...the unrestricted matches or restricted matches. |

I do not feel guilty using proto as a medic, in fact I don't feel guilty at all ever anymore. The difference between std and proto is about 6 extra bullets before death so nowadays idgaf whatsoever.

The best players in the game have proto because they stuck around and got good long enough to unlock proto which gives you about 6 more bullets worth of hp. Stfu and earn your proto then you can be a scrub with us lol.

The bottom line ladies and gents is that in each match the opposing proto seek each other out for a fight while anything less generally runs around as free k/d padding in between our proto fights. Or its one sided proto stomp.
Stick with your proto bears or get fked by the opposing teams proto bears, that's how it is until CCP does something about it.
Alternatively get some ADV grenades and remote explosives and just troll them, never fight them head on, get in kill one then get out, choose next target.
You also have to remember that a vet will not carry a team of completely useless blues as that requires being in the right place at the right time while you guys run around like headless chickens which gets you killed a lot because you end being the only fker being where people are needed while blues stare at the sky or shoot the enemy MCC.

I don't think this needs to be "fixed".
Its part of the game, and while pubstomping might make it difficult for newer people to succeed, it also means that as they get better at the game, and get access to the better equipment, they are actually accomplishing something.
I used to get mauled all the time. My KDR was .17 with 600 deaths, but after playing, learning, and adapting to my situation I am positive on KDR.
The academy phase needs to be looked at, and new people need to be mentored. Taking anything away from those who have earned the right to wear proto is wrong.
Would you ask your favorite sports team to play their second string guys because they win too much? |

For one thing its the player behind the gear that's stomping you not because he is in proto. I was allways known for killing proto in my advanced suit so maybe its your gun game. What makes you special to not have to face proto gear ever we all got stomped when we were new and it made us better players because of it. If everyone goes easy on you your going to get your face shot off once you get into PC. The absolute only way to get better in this game is to face good players in good gear every day. I would like to thank all the vets that never went easy on me when i was new it made me into the player i am today.

I am saying this not because I am tired of getting my ass kicked, usually I kill enough of your protos to know that it wasnt profitable for some of you but, it makes the game less fun for everyone. I see a lot of you responding who are in the very corps that I recognize to take a full squad of protos and go noob stomping. The funny thing is I started a new char to escape this but NOO the matchmaking is so bad that I turned out playing the same exact people. See I dont care about winning or losing or KDR, I just wanna enjoy a close match more frequently than 1/10, no matter which side im on. Just go protostomp FW and leave public to the normal people who just wanna chill.
And one more thing!! IF its not gear and its all teamwork then why do you need to wear the best gear?? At least give the blueberries on my team a chance.

I will stop protostomping when CPP gives me something to do with my half a bil ISK. At this point there is really no reason not to use proto gear. I'm just cutting down to adv now and then just for ***** and giggles to help me get to 1bil faster.

I'm not really sure how many ballz you suck, but I do know you are blaming the symptom, not the disease.
The disease is the MM that CCP is using. Which, due to the low player counts, is pretty worthless. When they released it, it seemed to work, but matches weren't able to be filled. I'm pretty sure once the complaining started, they turned it back off. |
