As a 'Masternader' I would like to point out that while spamming core's from the safety of a hive takes no skill, cooking a core perfectly and lobbing it in certain situations (such as owning a person shooting down at you from the comfort of a catwalk on the rings map) and be clutch about it can take an enormous amount of skill.
Also:
Andy throws like 3x as many cores as me.
Which is really saying something considering I almost always lead off with a nade unless someone gets the drop on me, or I have them dead to rights in PC matches.

I have grenades lvl 3, that's real skill. Before respec I could use the core as my primary and prolly 1v1 nade battle anyone on that list back to back in my scout suit. |

Yeah, counting down 3 seconds is really a skill. Getting a nade within a 6m diameter is a skill too. 
In DUST, people resort to nades simply because they inflict more damage. Back in Beta, when hit detection was garbage people resorted to just using nades because they gave up trying to shoot people. The habit still sticks around to this day, but now people a realizing that its just easier to shoot someone because you can drop people so quickly as apposed to before.
If you have a cluster of enemies, then leading with a nade it probably a good idea. But 99.999999999% of nade chuckers do it because of the lack of gun skill. |

Got out of a game this morning where there was an average of about 3.5 incoming grenades being thrown every second for around three minutes straight. I really wish I had recorded that.
It was just about the most disgusting thing I've seen in a long time. |

Here is a thing about nades and FPS games. Grab a pen and paper.
1) They are used first.
2) they are used to kamikaze in those game that allow it.
The first thing you usually will see before any guns are fired is the lobbing of nades. IN EVERY FPS GAME THAT HAS EM. |

One member of knights of the round table...if he sees this please he should reply. HE IS THE BEST hands down..
He was on top of a ramp I was at the base. I had him DOWN...he steps back and recharges his health (as he does I see him arm the gernade). I think he will throw it because he is losing and he wants me to step back...SO I decide to rush up the ramp and get the last hit on him (hoping the nade will go over me)...Instead 2 secs later I see him rush at me..nade in hand...JUMPS over me turns in mid air and throws the nade which DOES NOT LAND on me but explodes in my FACE...I drop dead and I see him land...
