For real, considering that I've still got 300,000 SP to go on my Active Cap and less than twenty-two hours to obtain it - let alone the fact that my PS3 is hard-frozen right now from the game failing to load a match - I don't even care anymore. I really don't. Doing the math on it, I'm getting an average of 4,000 SP a match, which would take me a whole twenty-four hours of constant grinding with no restocks in between just to hit this cap.
Triple SP Week should ring better in my ears but instead I can't help but think "God damnit, another week I will be missing out on a bunch of SP because I've better **** to do than play this lolzy game over and over again." Just getting into a match is hard enough by itself but having to deal with all the rage-quit moments after that? I mean, for real, just give us Triple Passive SP Week or something that everyone can benefit from.
I get that you're trying to get your PCU up and what not but this is a really pissy way to do it - forcing the player(s) to play the game in it's lackluster state? Good lord, all these Triple SP Week events do is cause burn out and thats NOT something you want from your playerbase.
Sincerely, someone with a life outside of the game.

Not to mention that with the event all you do is invite all the proto stompers back so we can't even get a good game... not that it even matters anymore since a triple complex dmg modded gek can evaporate any suit in under 2 seconds... this is ridiculous. I'll give you to 1.7 to get your **** together, otherwise, I'm off to greener pastures.

Man I'm dreaming of 2 sec TTK. It's about 0.3 secs for my scout and that's up to a range of about 65m.
It's best to move on, things are going to get much worse before they get better. 1.7 is the AR update, every one is getting buffed or has a new and improved version being added.
Given that CCP does not hotfix for balance reasons your looking at 1.8 before any meaningful changes will be made. If then. |

I don't recall there being a memo that said you must play the game during triple SP week, but you are obviously more well informed
This is, at the end of the day, a game and if you are not enjoying go do something else. So what if you end up with less skill points than Captain Proto McGrindpants? You said it yourself, you have a life outside the game, so why is SP so important to you? You'll get to that amount eventually anyway, so play less and play when you enjoy it, rather than making yourself bitter. You have control over when and whether you play the game. |

You misunderstood something.
The ppl do not complain because they hate this game. They complain because they love the game and want to see it become better.
They do not want to "just leave it alone". They have the hope that they are heared and it becomes better.
..At some time.
I myself have the same problem. I cannot match anymore this grinding ride. And so I went away. I do not care about active boosters anymore. I do not care that I did not got the 3 day booster for subscribing the newsletter. And I do not think that CCP want that. That more and more players leave. |

Have you ever considered using drop uplinks to farm a bit a extra war points?
I used r-9 uplinks on my Minmatar scout with an exile assault rifle and I still managed to rack up to at least 10,000 SP per match... before the 3-day active booster.
CCP, please fix the Nova Knives. Thank you.

I also overdosed on Dust this week. 300k SP left to go and I just can't look at it anymore. In the future I will avoid playing Dust this much, regardless of the reward.
On the other hand I don't feel bad about it and I don't blame the devs for temporarily setting the skill cap above my personal level of acceptance. |

This is why we need rollover SP. I've been having to work extra hours and barely had a chance to play.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I agree that if CCP wants to draw players back to the game to play, leaving passive SP gain unchanged is not the way to do it. I'm afraid many players are pretty burned out after this. |

Your sarcasm could use some work but I'll go with it.
Thing is: This is the -only- opportunity you're going to get to attain this SP. Once downtime hits tonight, that opportunity is gone. Forever. It might be 'just a game' but any sane human being that plays a game competitively and longer than five hours a week would do well to utilize that edge (450,000 SP with a booster is a -lot- of SP).
If you want to get personal, the reason the SP is important to -me- is the fact that this is really the only game I play when I'm not busy in real life. I, of course, have control of when I play the game - that's not the issue and you're misunderstanding where the issue is. It's that I simply don't have the time or patience to grind away all that SP when the game is riddled with annoying little things like getting killed by your own dropship when you jump out. I can't sit down every night and play for a few hours and sparingly get the SP, I have to get it all toward the beginning of the week (monday/tuesday) and hope for the best.
As I said to Nova Knife in a skype conversation:
"Further more they -HAVE- to participate through that extended grind in order to get that reward. I've got 300,000 left on my cap and I honest to god don't feel like doing it because I'm ******* beat on playing Dust. Unfortunately, I'm never going to see that SP again. So, its either you have the time or the steel nerve to put up with the **** to get the SP or its gone forever - that's not cool.
All in all, game activity needs to be more organic and less mechanical. Were not machines and designing systems for machines is going to end up in failure."

Agreed, the WP bonus is pathetic. I've been doing FW and simply destroying every turret, dropship, anything that gives WP. I can average 12,000 WP per match, but matches are long. And that's only if the other side isn't proto stomping, or just stomping in general!
We need bigger returns on our SP. Us casual gamers miss out for living life man.

I capped on Friday :)
But like most I was so burned out on Dust that I didn't play much after capping, even though you only needed 334 WP to hit max SP. |

Yeah, 334 will net you some weak ass SP. Considering it takes 1200wp for me to reach 12,000sp

Wow.... THAT is impressive, to say the least! I'm about 200k away and I'm burned out on dust for a bit....
I agree w/ OP though, although we don't HAVE to play we do miss out on the SP forever, and as someone who only plays this game, that kind of does matter a bit. Not a ton, but, it's not easy to just let it go.....
Either way, I'm gonna miss the cap. Oh well. Please CCP, next time let us do LESS and get the same as we usually do.... or do the SAME amount of gaming and get MORE SP (or other rewards).
I salute CCP for trying and experimenting with this and the rest of the November events (and the daily bonus to your best 3 matches is cool), I just hope we don't have something that is this intense of a grind in the future. |

Yea, way too grindy.
AS the total rate of SP gain is almost the same, the trip cap is huge.
The active part being doubled - great mechanic. But why did it have to be triple cap? Why not just double? |
