Why, you ask? Because some kid spraying at a Scout can land a lucky 8 bullets and destroy a Scout. So, this month Scouts need to be fixed, because we sure as heck know CCP isn't going to fix anything that lowers the skill gap in this game.
So, fix the Scouts. because they went from usable (hard more) to unusable. Especially now that they have to invest in Dampeners instead of HP, because the Scanner and hit detection/aim assist have offically pushed Scouts off the cliff.

If you drop an any from the top of the Empire State Building, it will survive. Scouts technically hit the ground with less force than Medium and Heavy Frames, so perhaps they should take less damage?

I'm having the best Scout games of my life since 1.6. But at the same time, I'm dying more as well. I get gunned down 90m+ from Miltia ARs and up all the time. I'll admit, that I should have spec'd into Gallente Scout, but who knew this change was coming? I can adapt to change, but I can't adapt to zero skill spraying. I got against kids that literally spin in a circle spraying because they know aim assist will take care of the actual skill for them.
I have to put on 2 enhanced Dampeners, and run a Scanner just to be effective to the point where its worth my time to be playing the game via that setup. 81 CPU / 27 PG is used up on my suit just so I can factor in playing against the latest changes.
Solo Scout Shotgunning isn't fun anymore, because even if you do well; you've put to much stress into doing it. |

Comparing P/C and Pub is like comparing MLG and Online. P/C has the phycological contract of don't mess around, we are hear to win
Pubs is a bunch of randoms thrown together, all with different ideas of how they spend their time in the game. some take it seriously, others f*ck around, others run around around with Plasma Cannons trying to troll, all the while going 3/30, lol.
Factoring in the mindset of 16 differnt people when they all have different attitudes about the match can lead to a lot more bullsh*t deaths. In P/C, you die (in theory) because you got out played. In pub, so many random factors come into play.
Talk to any MLG player. *ahem* MLG is harder than public matches.

Just because a brick is smaller and lighter than a cinderblock doesn't mean it doesn't break when you drop it 30m onto concrete like a cinderblock would. But falling from really high up isn't even dangerous in Dust anyway, because we have Inertia Dampeners. Reduced falling damage would be a way to set light frames apart though and give them something only they can have.might frames need something that they can do, but nobody else can.

If you have less mass (Scout suit) you have less Force(Impact) if the Acceleration is constant(gravity). This is why throwing an ant off the Empire state Building can't kill the ant. Because F=.00000000001g x 9.81m^2 = NOT ENOUGH FORCE TO KILL THE ANT!
But this is a fictional video game, so we can stretch it a little. Less fall damage for Scouts, maybe on a percentage scale. Its not fair that a Heavy can fall out of the MCC and survive, but a scout can't!
