Neutral. Boba Fett is my hero. He does it for the money and so do EVE and DUST characters.

But they are too two dimmensional cardboard 'democracy' that would have long collapsed in the real world, let alone a futuristic king of the hill universe. I like Caldari because they are the most realistic representation of what future states would be like - aggressive transnational corporations bound by shifting alliances. All other races are just silly cartoons that could never have existed in a real sci-fi universe. See that's where I disagree but I appreciate your opinion and input. Where do you think is the flaw in that? The Gallente have noble concepts but so do the Amarr, like with all democracies such is fine in peace time but ultimately is a weak kind of government that doesn't have the same drive and motivation as monarchies, dictatorships, and such. I dislike the Gallente because I see lies in everything they stand for, nothing personal, and this has no bearing on my opinions IRL, but to me the Gallente stink of false promises and empty words. The Amarr promise a much harder path but one that is ultimately going to be better for humanity in the long run, that ends in the same place as the Gallente. Civil liberties are nice sure, but unity and solidarity, even at the cost of our freedoms are ultimately going to benefit humanity more in the environment New Eden is. I wouldn't say democracies can only function well in peace time. I will use my home, the US, as an example. It's definitely a democracy, and definitely a world power. It has the largest military in the world, and has only had 11 years of peace time since it was founded, less than 5% of its time as a nation has been without conflict. We thrive on war and conflict it seems. I would expand further on this, but I don't want to get too heavily into US politics. It would be more accurate to say democracies work slower than other govt' types.
The U.S. is a republic. We're a nation based on law. Democracy is an ideal. Capitalism is our basis and we don't have much peacetime because we like to **** things up. You must always keep any potential enemy destabilized and split. It's a tough job but as long as you are at the top of the heap it is your duty. Because the next guy is just going to do the same to you.
It is the spartan ideal.
If we were a democracy we'd be dead in the water because democracy is one step right of anarchy.

I'm bad and that's good. I'll never be good and that's not bad. There is no one I'd rather be than me.

Beyond that, our ability to travel seems limited to what our employers provide; are we, for example, able to use our clones for personal reasons that fall outside of whatever's stipulated in a contract? How are we selected, or how do we qualify, for the cloning process to begin with?
Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know. To answer your question, I'll go from the perspective of an EVE pilot instead though, because I understand that concept better.
I'd be a pirate. Selfish, occasionally ruthless, but generally trustworthy and honorable unless crossed; anyone who crosses me dies slowly and painfully if I have the opportunity to capture them. I'd either work solo or as a privateer (not sure if EVE lore has state-sponsored piracy) for Caldari/Amarr, against Gallente/Matar and other pirates. I'd have a covert ops ship with a crew of Ni-Kunni, Deteis, Khanid, and maybe a few Achura and a couple of rogue Sebiestor and Intaki for flavor.
Oh, the adventures we'd have. I envision it as being very Firefly-esque. I might dabble in corporate espionage, sabotage, and assassination if I get bored; but only for "good" (as in, my own) reasons.
I couldn't work directly for any of the major factions; don't take orders well. Thus the "consultant" capacity would be ideal.
We are all trapped in a small little room.
