The first day I used the SCR, is the day I knew it was a matter of time before it was pegged by the nerf hammer. I won't be surprised if CCP nerfed it, because gosh forbid that gun gets into skilled hands. Just because someone makes it look easy, doesn't mean it is.
This gun has balance built into it, and it has multiple counters to it in game... but that's not enough apparently.
BLAME THE IGNORANCE! 99% of my SCR kills come from some guy who thinks he can charge right at me or Its me shooting someone in the back running away, because they didn't take their position into account.
"I'm a Prototype with 1000HP, nothing can kill me la la la dee la... WHAT? Killed by an SCR in 20 shots!? NERF!!!!!"
Semi-auto weapons in this game already get nerfed enough because of lag.
Next will be profile dampeners. Even though the best Scanner can scan through the best Dampening setup. |

The purpose is to help alleviate DPS issues (charge shot + spam) and to make the charge shot a more situational mechanic that rewards "marksmanship", or in other words, rewards headshots.
Currently, I can charge a shot, hip fire in CQC, and if I miss, I still have 12 rounds before overheat (more than enough to take down a blueberry or at least do critical damage), or If I landed a direct hit, I got lucky. In long range, people don't even stand a chance unless there are multiple enemies team firing on me.
... I stopped reading after you said 1-2 follow up shots before over heat. So, if I can only be allowed to do 500 damage before I have to wait 4 seconds for my gun to cool down? So anything that isn't a starter fit can kill me?
Last I checked, the AR was allowed to do 1800 damage before running out of ammo. The MD gets 1200. The sniper gets 1000, The SCR gets 1200 to IF you land every shot after the Charge Shot; a perfect volley.
So if it does the same amount of damage as every other weapon, why does it get gimped? It shouldn't be the user's fault that he out played the other guy, because his gun requires the MOST SKILL IN GAME to be dominate with it. |

This may be a rumor.
But quite honestly, its about time we take PREVENTATIVE measure against' CCP's bullsh*t. Because quite frankly, have their patch updates are things nobody talks about in-game, on the forums, on twitter, etc... Where do they get these ideas? They are off in their own little world, thinking they know what's best for the FPS community, when they are rookies to the game.
I hope its a rumor, but I've been hearing it in-game over squad chats more and more this week...
Can't CCP just stop with the nerf/buffs until all the weapons get put into the game? Can't they just do that for once? |
