If you're a HMG user and you hate life, I recommend it.
The DPS is basically the exact opposite of what you're used to. People just die instantly and there is pretty much nothing they can do to stop you other than get another friend. And if you know they are bringing a friend you can probably drop them instantly too. |

I have been on the receiving end of Himiko's Imperial. It is not a fun place to be.
For the life of me, I just cant seem to want to skill back into Amarr Assaults.. They are just so slooooow. I might end up doing it just for smaller maps/point defense though.

Plus HMG is NOTHING like the SCR, Spray CQ projectile weapon Vs Semi auto Med-long range laser rifle?
If you think thats good: I could drop almost ANY scrambler rifle user with my Amarr logi + GEK + 2Cx dam mods, in a second, in YOUR optimal range.
Get over it, SCR = FOTM wont happen...

Just did the math on what you can fit on a Proto Amarr Assault with full core skills and I now haz a sad.
Maybe my math is off but I was able to fit this with more than enough room to spare

i felt epic when i first picked up the scrambler rifle.... but then I realized it was because I already knew how to aim. lol scrambler rifle won't feel op to a bunch of noobs.

I dont want to play a shooter where SMGs and ARs have more range and firepower than an HMG and are more powerfull than shotguns. Its just a too stupid and mainstream COD wannabe for me.
I'll go away and let you guys run around and pew pew each other. I play spacemarine again while waiting for Fallout4.

While ScRs are more skilled than ARs, if ARs disappeared tomorrow then ScRs would be the next FOTM.
While not exactly EZ mode, not exactly the hardest weapon in the game to use either.

Why do people insist in using 2 Cx damage mods on an IMPERIAL scrambler rifle with PROFICIENCY?
What no gun game ppl?
Change those 2 Cx dam mods for Cx Shield extenders and FEEL the Life. (AMarrs are DUAL tankers in dust and have good Shield REGEN per sec)

Actually the nerf train is scheduled to arrive to the SCRs soon. They were just making a quick stop at AV. And they've got a ton of passangers waiting at the ARs.

Checkmate - I am a mid-range fighter. I use damage mods for two reasons.
1 - I run a Min Assault Suit which means I have fewer shots I can take before overheat. Thus more damage needed for each shot.
2 - The better the chance to take someone out before they can get into their gun's optimal range.
As a Min Assault, I am not a toe-2-toe Tank. I rely on speed and surprise to take out red dots.

In all honesty, those new rifle look like they are OP as hell. The Combat Rifle is basically an AR with a fast(er) RoF and twice as easy to fit. The Assault Rail Rifle just looks too good in so many ways. They don't seem to have any downsides. At least the ScR has an insane fitting cost and overheat to keep its massive DPS in check.
