I decided to take a break since my mic wouldn't work on DUST. I had trouble communicating with my teams so games weren't going so well. That was a bad idea. Now a couple weeks latter, my mic is working. I jump into a couple matches and realize something horrible. Because of this break im getting slaughtered. Apparently im so behind with SP that I cant match up to anyone and even went one round with 20+ deaths and zero kills. I didn't even have the chance to aim at anyone let alone shoot back before I was dead. Then in a atempt to save my ISK from re-spawns I just stay in out boundry randomly atempting sniper shots and anti-vehicle kills. One shot sniper BANG im dead. Redliner BANG im dead. You get the point. If im having this problem, what does that say for brand new players? Needles to say, im debating if I should keep playing. If I do quit ill keep my character up in case I come back later (hoping things get better). If not I have ALLOT of thinking to do on how I can even my odds against higher level players.
Anyone have any suggestions? Any ideas?
Note: Don't ask for my ISK, I would give it to one of my Corp members long before anyone randomly asking me for it. |

Since the game was balanced with bad hit detection with Ars giving massive damage to still pound with in bad hit detection, hit detection improvements without changing the Ar made it very powerful.
Its adaptable, still very skewed, but if I can duel ScramP scout and stay positive, I know you can too. The first few days was full of QQing due to the multiple deaths.
ARs huh? I don't like using them but if that's the case I might have to. |

It's entirely possible you just had a string of very bad match-making. I will have bad experiences with the game when something is broken on the CCP side and my SMG/HMG/FG simply stop hitting targets altogether.
You have a number of options. One try a different game time, a friend used to play a bunch of dust in the mornings his local time since the people on the game were more casual players. Another would be take another break (and/or afk farm) if your critical skills aren't 5s yet. The usual suspects: Hit-Point buffer skills, weapon operation, weapon proficiency (lvl 3), handheld damage mods, buffer module skills (lvl 3), big three fitting skills (at least lvl 3), etc. The critical number on my Medic Alt was between 5 million and 6 million skill points. Third wait until PvE is introduced and moderate your exposure to us douchebag vets. Fourth is see if it is possible to hook up with veteran players since teamwork + skills + skillZ = an elevated game for everybody.
That's refreshing seeing some more good advice. I hate all the trolling that goes around so often. Thanks ill take all that into account. |

Thanks for all the responses. Allot of good advice. I would rater hold up then quit. I like the game. Just mad my usual fit isn't good enough anymore. Prefer being able to play MY way then forced comply to standards that don't represent what the game was supposed to be. I see it loosing the "play your way" and turning into what I see in allot of MMORPGs. If your not set up right your not going to survive. |
