They are OP because the can put on complex dmg without sacrificing any hp mods and brick their ass above 700 armor. Why go over 700 armor because armor repair hives make it so you dont even need a repper and the gallante logistics is just the worse, d complex/enhanced dmg mods with 4 triage hives and 5 complex/enhanced armor plates and a duvolle.

Ok you can take the high slots from my Gallente suit if you take the low slots from Caldari.
Armour tanking was useless compared to shields for so long and now that its balanced everyone cry's that its op.
If you see an enemy sat in a few hives getting constant reps you can guarantee he is not going to move so either A flank or B toss a flux grenade and watch all his hives go bye bye. HTFU, adapt or die etc....
TEST signature please help me think of a better one.

What suddenly changed in 1.6 that makes this setup so great? Healing hives? Still the same. Reppers are finally getting usefull, **** those hives now. Logi gallente suit? Still the same. Assault rifle? Militia AR is like a knife versus butter against everything.

This has always been the case....
Armor just had bigger penalties and damage mod's didn't negate the fall off on ranges like they do now.
Gallente suit's are fine... |

So you either have to give up your armour, or equipment slots to survive, and you consider this OP vs the completely user-friendly Caldari setups?

With all the movement speed reduction you should be able to dodge gunfire easily. Are you charging right at them or are you strafing at all?

Just accept the fact that you're angry you get killed and that your mass driver isn't the all-to-be-weapon.
We could however argue that the weapon that kills you over and over might have something to do with it, but before that you have to see the situation as it is and not how you think it should be so you can get easy mass driver spam kills.

PG Expansion CPU Red bottles Green bottles Profile dampeners Shield regulators Hacking modules
All these incredibly core things we either have to sacrifice or sacrifice our armour for.
Plus a core locus grenade can one shot any gallente.

That, I assure, you has never happened. This weekend, I totally didn't get over a thousand kills with less than a hundred deaths. It's not like I still have more stamina and a higher sprint speed than those shield tankers after the movement penalties too

Why oh why do I try. I was a heavy first back in Beta, do to lack of racial suits and new weapons I moved to logi. Cal Logi to be exact and then they nerf them. So I move to Gall Assault and now you are trying to nerf them. I have over 25 Million SP and I am tired of working hard to get to proto for some JACK A** to want to pull the nerf hammer. I was all these before the nerf hammer fell and if the Gall assault gets a nerf, I am done. There will be no use to skill into anything because scrubs will scream nerf and all that hard work will be wasted. I was going to skill into scouts but they are just as bad or worse than any suit out there, so were do I go? I go to another game and leave this one behind and let the scrubs destroy what little is left. CCP needs to stop catering to these scrubs and let the game evolve.

It isnt that armor changed it's just everything related to armor has changed,armor isn't OP ,the only thing it is now is visible since: 1)reptools can actual rep armor suits fast enough to be worth a damn,so no need for rep mods IF your supported and 2) Most commonly used light weapons as of now are anti shields(AR and SCR).

I specced out of Callogi with the respec because I knew it was OP. Gallente sucked balls forever because you had max 330 shields and you couldn't get more than 225 armor (the base) without sacrificing a ludicrous amount of move speed (and inherently strafe speed).
Then they released ferroscale and reactive and the reactive sucked (and everyone proved they were worthless because a repper fitting beat them overall everytime) but the ferroscale mitigated the armor plates movement penalty. So slap 2-3 ferroscale on and a regular plate on the other low(s) and you could move relatively well again
Then they reduced the movement penalties for regular plates and increased the values on the other plates and suddenly I see all these threads.
Personally I think the gallente logi is a little op.
I'm not sure how I'd nerf it, but I do think nerfing the rep rate to all logi's and forcing them to put a repper on a low just like most other suits would help. Furthermore I do support logi's being required to fill all low slots (even if they just end up putting on 4 compacts or 4 injectors).

Would be a start, if having a cpu chip becomes a necessity to run any useful equipment ( possibly paired with the changing of the equipment bonus to something armor related ) then you only slightly nerf the suit without making it useless. The gal logi is far superior to gal assault. A cpu chip necessity would slow the suit down and reduce total hit points. Try making a fit with say 100 less cpu and 15 less pg ( if your equipment bonus was changed ). Im sure you can figure out the exact math, but that would be similar to the cal logi nerf. Next qqing would be the new fotm min logi needing a nerf, likely just cpu. Then suits would be more balanced and ccp can focus on weapon balance or new suits. |

Remove the native rep rate and add ccp's previously mentioned new bonuses that will increase stuff like nanohive range or rep rate and then the 25% reduction and native rep rate that combined make the gallente logi better than it's assault counterpart will be gone.
Gallente assaults are super UP because there's not a fit in hell you can get with the gallente assault that'll give you over 750+ ehp that the gallente logi can't make and then put proto equips on top of it.
