Are you seriously attempting to assert that your opinion is more valuable than Judge?
Judge is one of the few experienced and competent pilots in this game with enough credibility to make statements on behalf of the community.
Are you honestly incapable of absorbing negative feedback if it's not sugar coated enough for your delicate mind?

I don't understand the problem you have with this. If you don't want to have the auto-level on, just turn it off....that was kind of the point of the thread......
Unless you meant that auto-level is OP, then I REALLY don't understand. Learn me, please.

I just started a thread in the Feeback/Requests board.
Personally, I don't mind it. It hasn't really messed with my maneuvering and it helps with the problem of leveling out a little. I don't see how people can view this as an "auto-pilot" function. There's no way it's saving you from a terrible maneuver, considering you keep momentum, and you still need skill to fly around and pull off some of the more flashy maneuvers.
I do completely agree with the ability to toggle it on and off though. To each their own.

You're over reaching the potential of the feature. It's not "auto aim," it's alleviating a minor pain in the neck. It doesn't affect any other aspect of flying at all, at least from my experimenting with it. You're sorely mistaken if you think being able to hover in one spot constitutes a great DS pilot.
The leveling feature will not help bad pilots in maneuvering (because it only applies when still for a few seconds or going in a constant direction), recovery (momentum is kept, leaving it up to the pilot to stop or evade obstacles), or any other form of tactics essential to piloting.

Now, to the point, the problem with Dropships is not auto-leveling.
Thanks for all the fish.

There's always been 3 problems with the dropship controls, I pilote it since the beta, almost in each games, for deployment, transport, gunship, assault ship, and some obscure stuff that I'll not talking about.
Camera The first problem with the nonsense camera with that you are unable to see a **** around you. There is many ways to change that but CCP only change the camera placement stupidly update after update... Sometimes I feel like they troll pilots. They can make the 3rd person view transparent (like under cloak) when you aim below the dropship assault or even with others dropshits. Something like when your droolship back is front a wall, the dropship disappear and you cab see the ground below. And add the up-down camera when you are IN the cockpit view with some den on HUD to know how you dropship is. (like on the tanks HUD to know the turret placement)
Autopilot The problem with derpships autopilot is the way that's activating or not while you try to stabilise. When you approach the ground your doors open themselves and your ship is like magnetic by the floor. That's fuckin' annoying when you prepare yourself to take off quickly. I have no more problems with that but the piloting isn't the finest that I played in a game, but since 1.7 there is a beginning of improvement.
IA turrets The IA turrets ability to lock you through the entire battlefield and shoot you non stop until you burn down. Some of then are too far in them red-line to be destroyed by your assault dropship and like the missile one can continuously fire... So what the is nit enough dangers for the pilots (forge, camping noob railgun tanks, NULL canon missiles, MCC turrets missiles, lag, framerate, invisible walls, blueberries dropships...) now we need a fuckin' aim-bot sniping your ship from a totally safe place ?

fawkuima juggalo wrote: very unhappy with the dropship leveling.... i used to be able to fly my dropship through the spaces of the triple doughnut, spins, dives and other madd cool maneuvers. I didn't want to have to upgrade dropships yet to avoid this....... On the other hand, i understand why CCP did it, to give new players better control. The issues are though that the dropship is so much more vulnerable then before it takes away a lot of the chance to practice and adds to more frustration. SOLUTION: Add auto leveling to the aerial vehicles options menu, have it turned on automatically but give players a sensitivity choice like; none, low, med, high, or even a sensitivity bar. The better dropships should start with the option turned off, but still be able to turn it on freely. *feedback welcome Wait, you mean for the Militia ones? I've never flown one, so I didn't realize they auto-leveled now.
