Me and Arkena Wymspire are running almost exclusively Imperial scrambler rifles with 2-3 damage mods.
Let's just say the tears are priceless.
BTW we had a squad today of 4 imperial scrambler rifles :D

Combat and rail rifle are better at killing armor. Things are going to get interesting in December. Shields could use better scaling or a full on buff though. Not too many pure shield tankers since 1.4 hit.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Anyone else having problems with the Scrambler Rifle not charging? I was playing a game, and my charge shot was shooting just a regular standard shot.

King is spot on. I use proto ASCR as my only primary weapon. Honestly, my gun game isn't good enough to actually take advantage of the Imperial, I routinely have to whip out my Ishakone SMG to finish guys off.

Well Having a Good GUNGAME is NOT a necessity to have fun in a GAME, there by we have full auto weapons.
(nevertheless the ASCR gets out damaged by a GEK)
Having some sense of aim and killing with a full auto weapon is the right people with mediocre to decent gungame deserve.
But when a WEAPON that goes full auto rewards more a player for their poor aim that a weapon that takes skill then something is wrong.
There by, you can have BAD gungame, but be a GOOD player, like being smart, Flanking,cooking grenades,sticking to your squad,sneaking behind etc....
What really pisses me off is GOOD players that have BAD GUNGAME and say they have GOOD Gungame while using a duvolle and 3 Cx Dam mods, i mean , please....

It pisses me off when I'm about to flank someone, and my derpmate comes along and sprays, alerting everyong, then I yell on the mic, "WTF ARE YOU DOING YOU IDIOT!!!"

The Scrambler Rifle is much more powerful than the Assault Rifle in the hands of a decent player. If you can hit the fire cap, especially if you get a burst in, your DPS is much, much higher than any Assault Rifle. Luckily, most players would rather spray and pray. My aim isn't that great with a Scrambler most of the time, although I have scored a few midair Charged Shot headshot kills on good days before wandering back to my LR/AR/TAR or MD.
