The level of entitlement in this thread is astounding.
Here's a tip: You don't HAVE to grind out the matches. You get extra SP if you maintain your current play times. If you have more time or make more time to play this week, then you get more SP. It's simple.
CCP isn't responsible for your sense of entitlement, you have to deal with it yourself.
Here's a simple analogy to make things simpler for you.
Say on your local radio station, there's a dial-in competition, where if you enter you get $5 cash in hand. Every time you participate in the event you get your reward handed out to you. Naturally, someone with more time on their hands will get more rewards, and someone with less time won't get more. Do you think you should be entitled to the same rewards as the person with more time? Do you gripe about it? If so, you really need a reality check.
Also, at the comments about 'adults with work and married with children' etc. Well, if you think capping out at a video game takes priority over other commitments, then you need to get your priorities and your life sorted.
Instead of viewing this as 'CCP is forcing me to play more to enjoy the rewards', maybe grow up, lose that entitled view, and start viewing this as 'CCP is rewarding me if I play more, and if I don't, I still get more SP than I normally would'.

Death Dealer86 wrote:I agree with majority of your post. Although what you seem to forget is that they have these events to try and increase the steadily declining numbers. They don't have these events to appease the players who will cap out regardless of what they are having. Those players are dedicated and will remain. It's the casual gamer that you hold these events for and all they seem to do is **** these people off and push them away from the game. You posting on here about people with entitlement is pretty ******. It is these "entitled" players that will make this game str thrive for years to come. I can't imagine them pumping constant work and money into a game with a stagnant player base for 10 years. When the player count is on a steady increase then you can come with that "entitled" bullshit you have been posting on these forums since I have started playing. Until that day comes keep that **** to yourself. I agree that they don't have these events to appease players that are dedicated. But look around at who's doing the whining. It's not someone that is coming back to the game because of this event, it's the ones that regularly cap out that are complaining it'll take them twice as many games.
I'm a pretty casual player myself, and have not capped out in a long long time. To me, this event gives me more rewards when i have time to play, and to be honest, I don't really feel like I have to play more just to 'keep up' with other people who have more time to play.
FYI, regardless of whether player counts are increasing or decreasing, entitled people will still be entitled, and I'm just calling it as I see it. |

Justin Tymes wrote:Entitlement? Just make the event like it was before at the beginning of Uprising and we wouldn't have any complaints. No one has time to play Dust for 30+ hours, all this "event" does is punish casual players for having a life. Just curious, please describe how casual players are 'punished' for having a life? Use examples if available.
Trying to understand your point of view on how gaining more SP over the regular course of your play, and having the option to get more SP than you would, IF YOU WANTED TO AND HAD SPARE TIME ON YOUR HANDS, is 'punishment'. |
