Despite the rather negative way my affiliation with PRO ended, I'm sad to see the original community finally reach its end. I had many good times with all of you in MAG that continued into the early days of Dust. I still stand by my belief that PRO once had the potential to be truly great in Dust, unfortunately I also believe several conflicts in interest made that an impossibility. I couldn't be happier with my current position, but I still wish we could have continued as we had before.

Good luck to those who have chosen a different path, and good luck to those looking to rebuild PRO anew. Joe, I stand by the choices I've made, and I can't agree with the direction you went with the community, but I still appreciate all your work to build PRO into something I am still glad to have been a part of.

When people around me talk about the awesome first corporation they joined back in closed beta and what not, they sometimes take the time to ask me which was my first corp.

When I answer my first corp was PRO and I was recruited by CBJ's mass mail as a fresh scrub in open beta, they inevitably laugh. A lot.

I don't remember you being there. When and how long?

Probably some time in February or march, for about 2 weeks.

When people around me talk about the awesome first corporation they joined back in closed beta and what not, they sometimes take the time to ask me which was my first corp.

When I answer my first corp was PRO and I was recruited by CBJ's mass mail as a fresh scrub in open beta, they inevitably laugh. A lot.

A lot of players that are widely known now started in casual new player friendly corps like Subdreddit and PRO. Zatara, Parkway, Disgrunteldev, The Spinner, Zdub 303, and DS10 all started in the corp, which I still call home despite numerous great offers to leave, Subdreddit. There is a lot to be said about this because your first corp plays a large factor in how you perceive the game. At the time we had a lot of activity from closed beta vets that helped the names I just listed learn about topics like SP, suits, etc. beyond the basic FPS stuff these guys already knew. The fact that they were such good players made it inevitable that they would move on, but they all know where they started.

I think there is a lot to say about corps like this and their longevity compared to bright stars that burn out after a month or two. Burgezz is another great example, as is STB. They have been around forever and while more competitive as a whole than PRO, they are not to much different.

PXRX0 had some serious potential if only it hadn't been ran into the ground by a lack of structure...... Joe you should have listened to your guys in many aspects. That being said to all those out there good luck.

'Hey folks! I just thought I would shed a little light upon what happened this weekend, for those interested.

The PROject I and many have been working on was a community project that started in Massive Action Game on the PS3. It was wildly successful and I had the intention of taking that community with me to Dust514. Unfortunately for all of us, our community structure, strained leadership, and series upon series of unspeakable yelling matches, proved to me once and for all, that the past community was incompatible and unmanageable with Dust514 culture/design.

In consulting with people over the past few days, and having carefully considered this move for months now, PXRX0 is officially disbanded. I am taking a break from leadership related activities and focusing my time on Factional Warfare within my Alliance, until at which time I am ready to begin my next major project. I will however, NOT be recruiting to any future project from an existing player base, but instead focus entirely upon the strength of new players.

At any rate, it was a lot of fun, including the headaches and hangovers. All good things must come to an end, and as such I have left tombstone corps up on the leader boards as a reminder of where many thousands of players started their first days in Dust514 / MAG.'
