Naw. I'm an adult who knows how much boring text he can trawl through before throwing in the towel. Lets be honest, most of the stuff said on this forum is stupid and predictable. It just so happens I treated your post as such when it might not have deserved it. I apologize if I hurt your feelings by not reading everything you wrote and assuming your post to be something that it was not. You're still deflecting by the way. With zero evidence to back up your initial claim that officer's weapons will be removed from the game the rest of your post is invalid.
and i still say you didn't read anything i posted, otherwise you wouldn't be asking that

Once again I'd like to point out that you're still not answering the question in a satisfactory manner. Saying "I read it somewhere" is akin to saying I'm talking out of my ass. If you'd like me, or anyone else for that matter to take your proposal to have players manufacture officer's weapons (I'm definitely a no on this by the way since officers weapons are a super rare drop in eve and should be here too) than you should at least provide a viable citation for one of your posts central ideas, that CCP is planning to remove officer's weapons from the game.
Please note that I finished reading your OP and it is, as previously stated, a poor idea. What, may I ask, would prevent eve players from flooding the market with super cheap officer's weapons? How do you think that would impact the game?
Edit: I'd also like to point out that you asked for trolling at the end of your first post so you really are just getting what you requested here.

Once the player market becomes reality for dust 514, officer weapons will no longer be attainable from salvage, they have never been able to be bought in the artificial market with ISK. 2. Once the player market comes, the amount of officer weapons currently in existence (say about 1000 through he entire community) will be all there is, no more will ever be given or attained, the only way to get one would be to buy from another player. 3. Once the officer weapons get used up by combat players, they will no longer exist outside the collectors (im a collector) who wont sell their officer weapons away. 4. When the very last officer weapon is sold and used in combat, they will never be seen again. So, i thought of something: Make one of each officer weapon in our inventories a blueprint, BUT not a blueprint we can equipped into our dropsuits. Instead, make it a manufacturing blueprint like in EVE online, where blueprints are used to create amounts of equipment depending on the amount of resources available to the manufacturer. Do the same to the officer weapons. Ex: i have 50 Balac's Gar Assault Riffle, i would pay 100M ISK (or somewhere around there, it cant be too cheap to where everyone could do it, and it cant be too expensive to where rarely anyone would have them) for ONLY ONE of my officer ARs to become a blueprint, i cant pay another 100M to create another blueprint of the same weapon, that blueprint would then be stored in my blueprint inventory where i can keep it until i have a way to get recourses from EVE online and create my own supply of them and sell them at my price, however the amount able to be made at any given time should be limited so they would still be rare.. the other Balac's i would own would be sold off and used up in battle. this can also be done for all the officer weapons in the players storage. This way the officer weapons would still be a rarity but never cease to exist and people could be suppliers. any thoughts? suggestions? trolling?
Id like to see officer weapons become rewards for "special" matches.
An Eve player scans down an exploration site and loots it. big deal. but what if he could "contract" that site to Dust mercs to be further explored? We would go in and depending on whether the contract is private, there would be drones possibly defending the objective. If it were public then we would have to fight another team for it. the rewards for the winner would be officer gear for the dust guys, and deadspace mods for the Eve guy who contracted the exploration site.
Dust guys could only have these types of matches if they are contracted by an Eve player or corp, which would enhance the Eve/Dust link.
This way Officer gear stays rare, but doesnt disappear completely. Maybe CCP could use a drop rate mechanic where officer gear and deadspace mods dont always drop in those matches but you'd have a higher drop rate for getting them. |

Speaking from a game lore perspective, they are already technically blueprints, limited run blueprints.
They come with you when you clone jump around the eve cluster and the fittings, which are basically groups of blueprints, are then manufactured on the battleground.

Some things in EVE are not player manufacture, like faction gear or those odd meta items between basic gear and T2, or other such interesting modules.
Officer Weapons might be special salvage weapons or FP items from FW

No, officer weapons will still be gained from rare salvage, taking one into combat should be such an enormous decision most people prefer to keep it as a collection or sell it for money.
Having officer weapons made by players is like having Dead Space & Officer Modules be made by players in Eve and i dont see the point of people being able to manufacture modules that go for 2Billion Isk on average.
Except for them to line their pockets to the brim and then spam Tank after tank after tank in every Pub game they can.
Besides having people make Officer guns takes away from the value of the weapon.

I would be for this only under a couple conditions as far as the player market.
- The player market exists as it does in EVE where it is tied to certain locations and you must transport the goods - Transported goods can be destroyed en route - BPOs can only produce so many copies before they are exhausted - You must purchase materials on the open market to create your BPCs. Higher grade weapons/suits/equipment/vehicles use higher grade materials so you have to make sure that you are not spending too much on materials.
This way there is still a risk/reward to making officer weapons. You risk the shipment being destroyed and you risk not turning a profit if you spend too much on the materials as others will be doing the same thing and could possibly sell them for cheaper if they get a deal on materials.

should never be a bpo or a way to buy them with Aur directly
the options i would be happy with include Dust PVE - based on standings working for corps and only given out at the highest level of pve content randomly via FW LP store (only from fighting for pirate factions/incursions) From clearing out your District of ai / pirate incursions From Eve Pilots who collect them as loot from wormholes / officer kills - these would be forsale on our market

I would however like to see something along the lines like yesterdays tournament finals where there is a chance to get stuff that dropped on the battlefield from the things you killed.
Even a 5% chance per module/suit item, the current salvage system s*cks plain and simple.
