Translation = "Hi, I like to solo and my complaint is that nobody likes to work in squads." Also, if you side with this logic I hate your guts. This has nothing to do with that. The matchmaking algorithm should still evenly distribute squads between teams. I assume you're a super cool full-squad player- wouldn't you rather fight a real fight instead of just redlining 16 randoms?
If a lot of these squads wanted a real fight they wouldnt Q Synch to end up on the same side, the system is broken and exploitable so a lot of people will abuse it to pad their scores and stroke their egos pretending they are better than they are

Just a small effort here to clarify the terms.
There is No Matchmaking in DUST. There never has been and the future looks bleak for it. Do Not Hold Your Breath, unless you want to turn blue and die. Then knock yourself out.
There is a hilariously bad squad deployment mechanism. How that is Supposed work is unknown, CCP/Shanghai has never committed nor commented on it. Just stuff 1 to 32 players into a match type that they have selected as one of their options.
And they said it was going to be better. Who would have suspected that it was going to get worse? Me. But, I am a cynic.
Also, check this url. Squad Deployment issues have been fixed, don't cha know? Near the bottom of the page. Mentioned more than once.

Just to clarify, all I was asking for was a matchmaking system that made good matches, two teams mixed with squads and non squads. You got the **** head count right. High levels of it. |

Just to weigh in a little bit, at one point in time there was matchmaking for a short while but it was disabled due to a bunch of people complaining they were not getting placed into matches as a squad You win a shiny nickel if you can guess what sort of squads were not getting placed into matches, starts with a q and ends with a sync

I think I know what you are talking about, but it was dropping people from squads. They wouldn't deploy. You had to back out and pick up your buddy and try again.
You Qsync because it's fun to play with more of your friends, it's nothing to do with not wanting tough fights as someone alluded to earlier. I wish there was team deploy so I never had to play with or against randoms.
I'll never understand why so many people want to play a team game solo. If it wasn't for the friendships I've made in this game I wouldn't be playing it. To be quite honest I think solo play maybe one of the reasons why so many QQ all the time. It should be extremely difficult and frustrating to play solo.
I see SO many randoms going 1-8, 0-12, 3-15. At what point does a properly functioning brain figure that becoming part of a team could improve the overall experience? |

I realize some people enjoy the social aspect of the game, I personally skip over most of those due to a lack of interest. Here's my side of the medal:
Often I start up the PS3 for merely ~60 minutes of Dust. That's perhaps two matches. I'm generally unlikely to spend some of that time on setting up a squad that shares my interest in gamemodes, I'd rather just get straight to the face-shooting. I bought a mic specifically for Dust, but then realized that I have no interest whatsoever in hearing other people's voices in my spare time beyond what can be communicated through attack/defend orders. I actually started paying attention to Dust when in an interview I read that Dust wishes to cater to both the casual and the hardcore crowd with the ability to scale between these two, much like in Eve.
That said I accept that other players are looking for a more involved style of play and I'm sure Dust can please everyone with the right mechanics. Personally I'm hoping for PC to be the summit for the hardcore players, public contracts to be a strictly carebear-kindergarden and FW to be a playground for those used-to-be pubbies that are looking to get more serious until they can muster the strength to claim territory in PC. Unfortunately FoxFour just designed FW to be a complement to public games, not a replacement. Well, perhaps it'll start working properly in 2015 then. |

Anyone that thinks the OP is crying teamwork is OP are clearly a product of inbreeding.
Matchmaker is broken and doing ridiculous things all the time re: 16 players including 2 squads vs 4 randoms, people should be able to play the game casually and solo, many new players will start off this way and they will just walk away if match maker continues to throw them to the wolves with out even a full team to die with. |

I haven't played BF4 yet, but does that have a no-squad option? If not, then this argument has absolutely no leg to stand on.
BF4 auto adds you to an open squad when you join the match so everyone is on one. Also, during spawn you can leave squads and enter new squads in seconds. The whole process is fluid and well done IMO. Dust on the other hand... |

I get what you are saying, I don't like it when multiple squads are stacked against randoms. It feels like it's Major League against Special Olympics.
It's a shame you can't find the extra 5 minutes to squad up in a corp. The game will never be what you want it to be from a "matchmaking" standpoint. You solo people will always be at the mercy of the squads you are either unlucky or lucky enough to be paired with.

He is mad that the matchmaking system doesn't put a squad on his team because it is constantly putting squads on the opposite team, most likely because no other team is available for the match. He still needs to cry that matchmaking is broken.

I don't like waiting a long time (5~10+mins) to get into a match only to have it end before I can spawn in. Please fix.
Edit: Actually I don't like waiting any amount of time only to get into a match right as it end. Pretty please fix. |
