So in 1.7 it's gonna have a 6 m scan bonus= cool Will it run range mods= probably never
Min scout vs med frame: Min scout with range an profile dampener= still picked up on 15 db scanner , still slower than med frame
Min scout with speed an cardiac= still spotted by 28 db scan med frame with range mod an speed has upper hand
Min scout vs gallente scout = gallente range/ better ,speed / better/ ability for armor regen , dampening, range and cardiac an speed an more HP and CPU pg
Gallente vs min scout racial bonuses:
Gallente has a huge buff to scan now with no mods at all, plus it can do all of the things listed above, but the min is full of catch 22 problems. The minmatars bonuses require it to be fast, but it's blind, it needs stealth to use its bonuses but it can easily be seen, if it try's to see with range mods an be dampened it is slow an cannot get away. It now loses its equipment to a scanner.
When do mins punch? It's not a reasonable bonus when the base melee damage is way to low.
This melee bonus is void, it is not constantly used like all other suit bonuses, an although we all love the knife bonus to damage an deffinetly want to keep it but not everyone uses knives.
I purpose minmatar scout bonuses become: 5% to nova knife or shotgun damage an a 3% reduction to biotic mods per level
Our suits have 170 base hp an a proto with biotic mods an armor an shield up grades to level 5 has a max 343 armor with 3 complex shields an 90 armor, 270 shields if a damage mod is used.
Shotgun proficiency is rof not damage, too many times do these scouts have to shoot too many times to beat a ar user it snuck up on only to die from hit detection an damage modded rifles. The sg on this scout should inflict damage just as fast at a 4 foot distance, not need four shots to someone's back.

Usually having damage bonuses is... How would I put it... Not so good idea.
It kinda dictates what your suit is gonna be using. Worse, it limits on which suits you're gonna use those weapons as they HAVE to be balanced considering that damage potential - so it kinda dictates the new norm. |

PG/CPU % reduction for modules might be a good replacement for the current nova knife bonus. That way knifers can stack up on damage mods if they still want to get stabby, and we can fit a higher number of proto mods to make up for the poor distribution of slots.
Agree that being completely unscannable is too much. If someone wants to spend that many skill points to find me, then fair enough. There should always be a counter. |

dont take out the nova knife damage. many of us actually use that. take out the melee damage.

I'd prefer to see nova knife buffed to compensate, so that there are more options for the mini scouts. But fair point, it would be a shame to take knifers out of the game. |

I like the Min scout as it currently stands, including the race bonus. Especially considering the Min combat knife will, in all likelihood, not have a charge.
I'm quite interested in giving the improved scan range a good try. Getting skills into range amplifiers as we speak.

It better stay, I skilled into this scout suit specifically for that reason, if I dont have the knife damage I dont even want the suit anymore. |

The Minmatar scout actually can't avoid the 15dB scanner no matter it does. I wouldn't really worry about that though, since no one uses that scanner anyways. Though your overall concern is valid, all the good scout modules are low slots.

The gallente is unscannable if needed an so is a 4 low slot med frame so I don't see your point, it's the melee bonus that needs work keep the knife bonus |

The major flaw with this suit (IMO) is that it's SUPPOSED to be the fastest... But it's second in comparison to a Gallente Scout? WTF. This isn't EVE, it's Dust. Gallente Scouts are Stealth Artists, while the Minmatar is Speed. |

I think that taking away the nova knife damage would upset a lot of knifer scouts, and assuming that then there isn't much wiggle room to enhance the suit with respect to bonuses if that, as well as the dampening bonus, stays. Perhaps replacing the melee bonus with something else such as a passive armor rep of 1 HP/level and a reduction to PG/CPU usage for biotic modules (maybe all low/high modules)?
A speed bonus would be nice, but given the current speeds of scouts I thought that we were basically toned down speed wise so that CCP could improve the frame rate, rendering and hit detection issues fast speeds cause.
I definitely think the melee damage bonus is whack and the Min needs some more versatility in general..... |

Melee is useless bonus since base melee is so low.

I want a Biotics BONUS.
I use Melee modules, Stamina Modules, and Speed Modules. Would be a big help, especially on a BIOTICS suit (Listed in the description)
Nova Knive bonus + 3% Biotics Bonus per level. I would be happy.

That's fine. Weapon types should be paired up with suit types. I am not saying that assault should not be able to use a shotgun but scouts should have bonus to SG use. It just makes sense. I don't see why it's 'not so good idea'. Frankly this would be immesuarably better than what we have right now. right no 'de facto' there are only two suit-weapon combinations in the game: heavy - FG and medium - AR/SCR. So essentially things are already matched up and bonused except it's done in a way that's hurting the game.
I disagree that bonusing will limit which suit a weapon would have to be used with. For example a scout with SG bonus be perfectly even against assault with unbonused SG, simply because assault overall is a better suit. |

A bonus to weapon switching speed would be good. Make it so that other suits have a considerable delay in switching from AR to SMG and scouts can flip to SMG (or any secondary) instantaneously.
I really like the turn speed bonus idea except that I don't think it should be bonus - in the sense that if you are playing a light frame it should have a high turn speed w/o a light suit skill that needs to be leveled up. |

Demolition- Minmatar are about explosive damage and having a grenadier and lite ewar unit wouldnGวึt hurt either. IGวึm thinking jump packs, webbifiers, and a unique grenade attributes, especially if grenades are nerfed overall, this suit will be able to go strong with them.
