you should play the AV role in my squad ;)

Used to use AR, got bored. Respecced into the scr, got bored again. Then tried the plasma cannon after hearing that it's a fun gimmick weapon, hated it at first but after a few matches I started getting good scores (and some early recognition on the forums) so I started using it more and spending more SP on it until it became my main weapon choice.

When I first started this game, after only a little experimentation, I chose to go with the sniper. Why? Because a really hated the hard range cap on the weapons, still do. So for a long while I ran around with a sniper pretending it was an AR. However over time CCP nerfed the sniper's damage while making it easier to use putting me in an awkward position where I had more challenge killing people then other guns but it was still fun to use. Now with the ever increasing ability to tank my play style has become absolutely obsolete and is just not as enjoyable as it used to be.

....then I decided to branch out more into the SCR. It has a decent range as well as a charge shot that fills the gap left behind by the sniper. It was my fate from the beginning.

Not gonna lie...I still have nightmares of running and gunning with that sniper rifle.

Want to know How I started using the plasma cannon?



Not exactly the best reason but I eventually stuck to it in part because I bought 100 of them and because I made a two week bet with a friend and after that it just sort of stuck. I love the weapon and it's mastery takes care of most of it's flaws. I'm still trying to master it and there are much better users like Chit happened and Roldrage (creater of cannon fever) out there. What I try to do with the plasma cannon is give an overview of the weapon and show people that even though it's the black sheep of weapons in DUST, it can do wonders if you'r skilled enough. If you think I'm lying about the possible utility of the weapon, you can go to the link in my signature and see that it's possible to use such a hard weapon. YOU just need skill and practice...

Anyway. Why do you prefer the weapon you use?

Please refrain from fighting about which weapon is better because obviously mine is bigger than yours. Don't ask for buffs on your weapon and don't say a weapon is underpowered. Just say what you use and why.
