I think COMPLETELY removing grenade resupply, from hives or depots is a childish quick fix, by butthurt proto suits!
HOWEVER, numerous things can be done to alleviate the situation.
Rejig ammo resupply protocols: At this time, nanohives will restock all ammo types simultaneously, giving priority to your grenades. Change it so if only restocks 1 ammo type per pulse giving priority to h, l, s, g
AOE lighting for grenades: MD, FG, SL, PC all have this effect as of .4 give locus orange and flux green light respectively. Prehaps even make it flash!
Change fuse pull time: add an additional 0.1secs to the shortest possible time it can take to throw a grenade.
Grenades, Sorted
Scanning spam, make all variants have a cooldown period of at least 200% of the tag period (time visible after scan)

This along with the fcuking "SCAN SPAM" has gotten out of hand.
Flanking and ANY sort of tactic in this game is completely out the window with the introduction of god mode scanners Not only do you know where the whole entire team is at AND going, you get too see them for the next 16 to 25 seconds! Couple that with the short cooldown, you literally get to see the entire red team for the entire match.

Grenade fuses need to be more random... So cooking a grenade could equal a pre mature explosion. But grenade's in this game don;t even make sense in reality they don't even work like that IRL even the best grenade we have. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M67_grenadeThe kill radius needs to be a tight packed area and then an injury radius however big the developers see fit... But a kill radius of 7-7.5m with core locus is crazy... And again this is something CCP choose to do with a recent patches... They increased the blast radius because they where glitched... they then fixed blast radius and left the increased value... They then ramped up hit detection and still left grenades in their buffed state.
Umm you do realise there is damage fall off, have you ever got hit by a core and survived, my enemies do it all the time! If you want locus grenades to be more realistic then you need to decrease their fuse time, which will make the problem worse.
As for random fuse times that is just ridiculous, I shouldn't have the chance to die just by go I ng go throw a grenade, if I over cook that's different, but having rzndom fuse times? No thats just a terrible grenade! |

Having 3 is ridiculous. . no other FPS has this much rampant grenade spam because in good FPS games you spam bullets.. not grenades. its an opener, closer and designated hitter.. something is wrong with that picture and if you disagree you are a nade spammer.
The game will change for the better if they fix this.
1 grenade really? Hell lets just get rid of them, its not like some people use them tactically or anything.
Its not like we are gonna screw over the majority of the community because some people lob grenades often. Its not like grenades can mean the difference betweennlife and death
ITS NOT LIKE WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO KILL PEOPLE WITH A ****ING GRENADE.

Ill assume your talking to me because I pretty much said its a proto butthurt thread! Grenades don't need a nerf, they do their job, and they do it well!
HOWEVER, there are things that can be done to stop overuse of grenades in certain situations, I have already provided a list. But I might add 1 more thing.
Throwing more than 1 grenade in quick succesion can be stumped by adding an additional 0.3 secs between the 2 grenades, on top of the extra 0.1 sec per grenade I already suggested.
