everyone uses swarms to measure tanks against but what if swarms aren't meant to take out tanks?
obviously we've all grown comfortable with the idea of swarms being an anti tank weapon, but what if they aren't?
the swarm launcher is a light weapon then it follows that a light av weapon destroys light vehicles (lavs/ds) and a heavy av weapon takes out heavy vehicles.
BREAKDOWN:
heavy vehicles - heavy av is the direct counter, high sp/isk requirement. rarest on the battlefield
medium vehicles - not yet introduced, have no direct counter but rather are destroyable be high level light av or heavy av moderate sp/isk requirement
light vehicles - light av is a direct counter, little sp/ isk required. most common on the battlefield

empty triangle = light
half full = med
full = heavy
dropships and lavs are both empty hence light vehicles.

perhaps, I'm just working with what I have, so since devs haven't even hinted at medium weapon I assumed they don't exist.
if they did they'd require a medium suit (sorry scout brethren) and take a moderate sp/isk investment.
