So here we are, days away from the squad cup and you rustians must excuse my pressumtion, but I find it highly likely that our first battle will be against a very strong team, the Power Rangers. And its a game we're very much looking foreward to, we play each other all the time in EU ambush, and many of us have been in the same clan(s) before and know each othe pretty well by now. Besides, we all love Zaria...
A common oppinion for most of us, indeed just about every player in Dust I respect, we are all really sick and tired of the constant nade spam that gradually has become the norm in Dust. I have indeed thrown my share of nades, we still use it against each other all the time, but I bet many of us find the deaths cheap, and the kills less rewarding. Nades are OP and thats that.
Then it occures to me, we have two teams with seasoned players that more or less know each other well. Lets do something here and show the rest of the community how a de-nade-spammed Dust looks like. I can record and I bet more people can too. And honestly, it would be a blast to play against such great players in an actual tourney, with a removed mechanic resulting in a drastically changed combat environment.
- I hereby challenge team Power Rangers to do this battle against us totally nade free. Well AV nades are ok. Lets play Dust with gungame and tactics, not the usual explosive spam, just this once...

A shush the both of you. Zaria is perhaps one of the best logis in the game, and she even has better gungame than many of the tryhard players in this game, and thats while running a logi suit severely gimped by the most expensive to fit equipment. Do anybody really think that 13ear would include her in his team without having faith in her abilities? STFU
I really don't care for much else, various suggestions in this thread and such, I just thought it would be a blast to do a game with highly competitive players without the usual nade spam, thats all. I'll await 13ears reply on the matter. |

We accept. It can also apply to our practice CB on friday if you'd like 
Nice, I knew I could rely on you good ol' 13ear. For clarification: is that a yes to no nades at all as intendet? Or is it a flux only?
This will be so much fun. I really hope we can put up a team on friday, I'll try, no guarantee though. |

Fluxes are not allowed, MD is allowed but having entire teams spamming it will be frowned upon... |

I'm a little late to the party.
GG Power Rangers, you won this TDM fair and square (whatever "square" means in such a situation), you won with 22 clones in perhaps the most fun compeitive game I've played.
Now you better win this tourney so we can say, "Yeah we lost in the first round, but at least it was to the dudes winning the entire thing...."

I've used nades more than most, but I would hardly call it spamming. There is a difference between tossing nades vs groups, or indeed throwing one to start an engagement like I mostly have done. It is a whole different matter to stand on a hive and toss 15 nades in succession in the general direction of the enemy, like I have seen in so many CBs and from certain induvidials and corps in pub games.
I still use core locus nades in all games and will continue to do so, though with a little less "spam" involved than many others. Being among the best naders in Dust it would be silly of me to not take advantage of it. It is a broken mechanic, a general nade nerf is long overfue IMO, it seems like the only way we can fix the current situation.
It was really refreshing to have such a "gentlemans agreement" and having both teams sticking with it. This was the first and it might be the only competitive game in Dust that had absolutely no explosive spam.
