We "content" lock for 1.7. Being hard core testing to ensure content is solid. It's actually about a month long process until a version is pushed out after a content lock. RACIAL HEAVIES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? WHEN THE FUG ARE WE GETTING THEM!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yes, because Level Design will know this

Congrats on finishing up another one of your babies! Sounds like a ton of work goes into developing these sockets, must feel really good when you finally finish one. It is a lot of work. But we are getting more efficient with it every time and our "re-usable" asset library is growing... at least for Caldari right now. We still have the Minmatar and Amarr at some point, with a first Minmatar being the next outpost, I think you guys will like it. CCP Tigris has been working hard on blocking it out and working with the art team so they have some ownership in it as well. What makes me feel good is when I hear players "enjoying" the outposts. I don't consider it finished until I hear some happiness from our players.
Is there any consideration toward the racial playstyle in the outpost design? I noticed that the Gallente Research Facility is incredibly close-quarters related with most engagements being either point blank or WELL within the optimal range of the Assault Rifle. Should we expect there to be a lot more cat-walks and larger expanses in the Caldari Production Facility?

CCP LogicLoop wrote: We aren't really given the task of prioritizing on racial play styles. Though your assumption about the ProdFac is true. There are a lot of catwalks, and vertical game play. The small and medium sockets have larger open space than the Research SI set. Snipers might find the ProdFac more fun since it has a lot of places to perch, except they should be aware they will be highly exposed. The gameplay is certainly more centralized than Research was as well "inside" the outpost. It is more open, but has a lot of line of sight blocking as well.
Very excited. December doesn't come fast enough.

Well, maybe this will help lessen the blow. Last night I had just enough money before pay day (today) to choose between food for the night and one month of boosters, and chose the boosters. Some of the guys in the community think this is insane but the anticipation of seeing what you guys have to offer is ECSTATIC and totally worth a brief twenty-four hour fast in an effort to lock oneself into the decision
But in all seriousness you guys have been doing a GREAT job with the level design as of late. Getting red-lined on the newer maps isn't as frustrating, rare as it may be.... Come to think of it I can only recall one instance in which I was ever on a team that had been red lined in one of the new maps
All-in-all it's very inspiring for someone who's chosen to go into Game Design (I hopefully start on that path next year).
Although, one suggestion? Give yourselves a name for your team! "The Level Design Team" is a little archaic and doesn't show off your personalities
