Can I ask you how you feel about ME3, or are you still recovering?
I'd like to pretend it didn't exist, though multiplayer is fun.
What I hate about it the most is not the ending; yes the the ending sucked, but what really bothered me was the overall tone. It felt much less personal, there was much less emphasis on getting to know know your squad and stuff, it all took a backseat to the story. The story itself was pretty boring; it tried too hard to be dark and sad, and lost much of the humor that made the 2nd game great
The amount of squad members was reaaaaaaaally drastically reduced, I HATED that.
The Citadel was the only hub, I misses Illium, I missed Tachanka, and most of all I missed Omega; to add insult to injury they added Omega back but ONLY as a DLC (not paying for that ****). About Omega, Aria was promising every time that I me her that she and those mercs would take back Omega from Cerberus, I waited and waited and it NEVER happened; if they're going to make her keep promising it, it should have just been part of the game and not a damn DLC.
Now, on the ending. Thematically it was about synthetics vs organics; the reapers exist as a way to "solve" that problem. The funny thing is, I already solved that issue myself when I brought peace between the geth and everyone else, yet that didn't effect anything about the story. The reapers and the catalyst should have noticed "oh, organics and synthetics are getting along, guess we're not needed", but nooooooo, because the writers are ****. Regarding the reapers' plan to deal with the cycle of violence with organics and synthetics, its literally
THIS stupid plan, this actually is their logic. Makes no damn sense whatsoever.
That DLC that took you underwater explained the Reapers' origins, and made it make a lot more sense, but a story should not rely on goddamned DLC to make sense (didn't pay for that ****, watched on YouTube).
