I can't stand it when people who have been here since closed beta have to remind everyone how much they hate this game or how terrible it is. It's time to admit you are either an idiot who wastes your time playing a game you hate, or admit that you love DUST and you're just dissapointed it's not perfect. |

mechanically, i hate this game. lag, hit detection, and unbalance cause this.
emotionally, i love it to death. i've put too much work into it to leave now, and i dont plan to. i know this game will be great someday. |

Or, we're playing it because we know it has a chance of eventually being good and we don't want to fall behind on the SP curve.
Which basically means we're investing in a future product by torturing ourselves now. |

I like the concept of the game, but there is no reason to keep playing another lobby shooter. I came here for an MMOFPS, but Dust 514 is a lobby shooter. Played this game for at least a few hundred hours, been here since the Chromosome expansion in closed beta. But now there is no reason to log in |

Its failing as that for me, has been failing since they removed Skirmish 1.0 back in closed beta. They say they will replace it with a new multi-stage attack/defend mode, but that could be like over a yr from now. |

TTK is a complete joke for what was advertised as a high health FPS that takes months to build your character. I have complex shield energizers and regulators but people die faster than it takes for delay and recharge rate to keep up. Not like anyone would want to use these modules since it's more beneficial just to stack plates since strafing, an important component to gunplay is all but gone. If they keep taking out these essential mechanics, Dust might as well be an RTS. |

As a former long-time EVE player, CCP is not living up to its own standards.
CCP has been know for releasing buggy poorly-balanced things, yes. They always fix it given time.
But they never, for instance, release only one race's new ship. They at least have the follow-through to get all four in, then balance from there.
I am not inclined to give them any slack whatsoever until they stop slacking off. The basic racial suits must be in the game. They've had the better part of a year, released numerous teaser photos, and have nothing to show for it on that front.
I am also disappointed that 100% of their content efforts go toward the playstyles that already have the most damn content. Round that **** out.
But do I still like the game? I still post and/or play almost every day, and that should tell you something. |

Just add (Open Beta) or (Work in progress) at the end, of what has become a Disappointing then, now Hate plague factor on the forums, that is Dust514 Uprising (Release?) and you'll witness the the end of all that hate. And just have random posters occasionally ask for the release date, but without all the hate.
I know why it got released tho we all know but i just can't acknowledge/agree if that was the only option back then.
Part of my beef with this game is still stuck at "May 15th 2013" and waiting... the other just enjoys a free shooter whenever i give myself time to play. |

I'd like to pretend it didn't exist, though multiplayer is fun.
What I hate about it the most is not the ending; yes the the ending sucked, but what really bothered me was the overall tone. It felt much less personal, there was much less emphasis on getting to know know your squad and stuff, it all took a backseat to the story. The story itself was pretty boring.
The amount of squad members was reaaaaaaaally drastically reduced, I HATED that.
The Citadel was the only hub, I misses Illium, I missed Tachanka, and most of all I missed Omega; to add insult to injury they added Omega back but ONLY as a DLC (not paying for that ****). About Omega, Aria was promising every time that I me her that she and those mercs would take back Omega from Cerberus, I waited and waited and it NEVER happened; if they're going to make her keep promising it, it should have just been part of the game and not a damn DLC.
Now, on the ending. Thematically it was about synthetics vs organics; the reapers exist as a way to "solve" that problem. The funny thing is, I already solved that issue myself when I brought peace between the geth and everyone else, yet that didn't effect anything about the story. The reapers and the catalyst should have noticed "oh, organics and synthetics are getting along, guess we're not needed", but nooooooo, because the writers are ****. Regarding the reapers' plan to deal with the cycle of violence with organics and synthetics, its literally THIS stupid plan, this actually is their logic. Makes no damn sense whatsoever.
That DLC that took you underwater explained the Reapers' origins, and made it make a lot more sense, but a story should not rely on goddamned DLC to make sense (didn't pay for that ****, watched on YouTube). |

I share every opinion you do about that game. It was destroyed by EA, and I will never forgive them for that. ME2 is easily one of my favorite games, but ME3 was just a disappointment comparatively, and I honestly wish I could just forget it. ME3 had its moments, like Thane's death and Anderson's death, but I left the game with a very bitter feeling overall. |
