So whats gonna happen to the Breach AR when all rifles come out?

Cody Sietz Bullet Cluster Legacy Rising 1257	Posted - 2013.10.24 15:24:00 - [1] - Quote My guess is the current AR will get the same range as the breach and maybe the same dmg with a higher rate of fire. I'd also guess that the TAC and burst will be dropped down a bit range wise as well. so the only way I can think for the breach to be even worth using is if the DMG gets a good sized buff, maybe 10 points or so...then I got to thinking, that will be crazy OP. They can't nerf the range or the mag otherwise is will be completely useless, even with a dmg buff. So I believe that can only mean one thing, they will remove the breach AR from the game. CCP, am I wrong?

That way, I don't have to waste points on rifles I might not even like or use again. Once these come out, THEN we'll be able to judge whether the Breach AR will stay or not. This is just my opinion, though.

I agree entirely but with all the other things CCP needs to work on I doubt removing a mostly useless variant is high up on their list, thats why I think its going to be left as is

But eventually they will have to take a look at it once we get all the rifles and everything settled.

Yeah they tend to go overboard with nerfs. Like with the flaylock and TAC. They didn't need to drop the bullet count so low on the TAC and the dmg on the flaylock and radius didn't need a massive nerf, just half of what they got would have been fine. Just to be clear, I did not use or endorse said weapons pre nerf(ok, maybe the TAC for PC battles but I still knew it was OP)

Although it isnt that deadly in CQC compared to the regular AR, we might see changes that include the removal of the STD AR and introduction of pre-nerfed versions for other races that fill the short-medium-long range profiles making breach rather balanced.

I know my SMG will alway finish off someone but my flaylock is a bit random. The only reason I use it is cause it looks cool and the fitting requirements really fit on to my PG heavy Gallente suits.

I can never understand why, it just plain awful at lower levels and even at higher levels the risk just isn't even worth it when you can use a litterly any other weapon at basic or advanced and get a better performance.
