Being used in vehicles instead of modules having run times. I think it could be interesting. An HAV could run a really powerful tank being able to do alot but only for a short time before running out of cap. Or it could use a more stable sustainable setup allowing for extended use.
Suggested this along time ago and the idea crossed my mind again. |

Kind of what I wanted vehicles to have in the beginning. It opens more avenues for making tanks harder to kill, but easier to disable instead of the kill or be killed drama we have now. |

I actually have a report coming out in the near future discussing the proposed vehicle changes, and part of that includes my thoughts on where they need to take vehicles in the future.
I agree without a doubt that a capacitor system would be ideal in getting vehicles where they need to be. It promotes flexibility and utility, not single use weapons platforms that they're turning into. I've always felt that vehicles are that bridge between Dust and EVE, and while the existing system of cool downs is simplistic and easy to understand, it is not conducive to making vehicles enjoyable for the pilots or their enemies.
If a vehicle overhaul is what CCP is planning, this is the perfect time to implement such a system. Even if its a lot of work, even if it takes a long time, people will gladly wait for a vehicle system which makes the profession enjoyable. |

Absolutely. Vehicles are very dear to my heart as I specialize in them (Though that's usually restricted to PC battles only because of the cost involved), and I think that it is an important issue that much of the community is interested in. While I applaud CCP for having the courage to re-make the system from scratch, I think the proposed changes REALLY need to be scrutinized by the community because I personally feel it is not the best solution. |

well..... since vehicles will either be killed or revived in the balancing act, I don't think it will matter if im right, but if im wrong (I hope im wrong) then capacitors should be here. |

Capacitors should haven been the initial idea and not what we have right now. Everything should use cap, even fast driving, shooting, modules and so on. This would add the same deep in to the fittingfun as in eve. |

If they did that they could also add an actual E-War component to the game as well with scrammers and vampires and such, which in my mind would be kinda awesome. |

I dream of a day where I can pull up behind an enemy HAV in my LAV and flip a Neut on while my buddy rolls around the corner and nukes the defenseless tank. |

Definately What I expected from CCP since they are using New eden tech. It would eliminate the need for cooldown timer as well as have the Tanker Micro manage and prioritize what he need at a specific moment.
Pilots in even deal with this all the time. How this wasn't implemented in the first place just goes beyons me.
If CCP impelent this it would really make a difference.
Imaging throwing VOID grenades to suck the capacitor out of your opponent and shutting off their modules and going for the kill. This happens day by day in eve and is a very interesting way to play. |

Yeah and smart bombs, because sometimes it takes to long for the foe to empty my cap, so I need to do it myself. As soon as smartbombs and the amarr tank are there, you will see the disco-tank coming to dust ;) |
